It's not that Zatara² can't communicate, it's that he only speaks backwards (like his mother Zatanna when she does spells, but that's his normal way of speaking (and John Constantine is his father))

Notes:

I do really like Tim and Kon but because I ship their dads it just feels wrong cause like… they either step brothers of that’s Tim’s uncle in law. It’s kind of a one or the other for me. Same goes for Damian and Jon, but in that case I adore him and Nika so much I’ll always prefer them just look how she makes him SMILE.

I also really like Bruce and Selina but I can’t see them as a serious and long lasting couple but I don’t doubt their obvious romance and affection, I just don’t see many cases where it could realistically work out.

There’s also Wally X Dick but it’s just not as impactful to me as NightFire even if I do relaly love it, childhood best friends is so cute but I grew up with Teen Titians so I’m a little biased.

DC has a category of comics called "possible futures." They're not canon as such, but we can learn more about characters who are children.

I feel like it's a concept that isn't overexploited (yet). I hope they take into account the many children that exist in the comics to learn more about them.

Isn't it possible to use this approach in comics? There are many concepts for next-generation heroes that are really worth learning more about.

@ailelie I’m making a new post since that one was already getting kind of unwieldy lol —

So far my timeline plan is that Tim would end up with Dinah slightly before Jason’s death and this would be during the Arrow family’s Seattle era so they’d be far on the west coast when all of that was breaking down. And I think in terms of preventing Bruce from going off like he does, it would be closer to the World Without Young Justice timeline where Steph is Robin, so she’d be Robin earlier after like. Idk. Finding Bruce in a dumpster or something and being like “…dude.”

Tim would definitely be a crime fighter in the au, but he’d be a metahuman as well much like his aunt, so it’s a whole different set up, but yeah, Dinah would for sure encourage civilian hobbies, especially since he’d be so young when he first got to her. He’d probably pick up crime fighting before they moved back to Gotham post Ollie’s death and do vigilante shit in Gotham with powers like Dinah and Bruce would have his Thoughts about that I’m sure

As far as the social drama, there would definitely be some kind of fucktangular möbius strip situation along the Ollie-Dinah-Babs-Dick-Roy-Donna-Kyle(-Connor??) spiral of doom or whatever that Tim is just desperately trying to stay the fuck out of
