obey me! cheesy wedding things

asmo may be living his best single life but I think he would also LOVE wedding planning

it’s the perfect spectacle (dedicated to him and MC, naturally) and he would make the planning FUN. So many posts, a full playlist to listen to while deciding what the wedding playlist should be, and he would care about the minor details like invitation cards and flower arrangements so he could take that over if MC wasn’t interested

so naturally his wedding would be the best and most glamorous, but here are my rankings for how nice the other Demon Bro weddings would be:

2nd- Lucifer, because you know he has an eye for luxury and would spare no expense. Unfortunately, the wedding planning would be rough because Lucifer already has way too much on his plate and this would just be extra stress for him and MC. Think a large formal event, traditional, and probably Diavolo as officiator or something idk

3rd/4th- Satan or Levi. You could argue that Satan’s would just be a more casual and personal version of Lucifer’s and should therefore be 3rd, but remember that Levi has likely consumed an incredible amount of romance anime and would base his wedding off some stunning fantasy ceremony. Satan’s is book romance and he’d be more open to MC’s suggestions, but Levi has probably already played dating sims that required him to build his perfect wedding from the ground up. Either way, these will be your small and personal weddings worth remembering.

5th- Mammon. Now, it’s clear that Mammon is willing to spend money on MC and loves classy expensive things, but there are 2 issues: 1, he will not enjoy saving up for the wedding and will complain about the price tag nonstop; 2, he will not want to spend money on things for the *guests* like food or an open bar. Mammon and MC will have a glorious honeymoon, but their wedding ceremony might make the guests complain.

6th- Beel, not because he doesn’t care about MC or dislikes weddings, but just because it isn’t really his scene and he’d probably just defer to what MC wants. However, there would be a full buffet and he would be very supportive for whatever MC decided.

7th- Belphie would not want a wedding, he would be more than happy to elope and have their “honeymoon” actually just involve him, MC, and Beel move someplace nice and tropical. If MC wanted a formal wedding, it would happen, but he would be bored with the process and would fall asleep often enough that MC would be planning it mostly alone.

Asmodeus would absolutely do TikTok dances and force MC to do them with him. When MC’s busy, he bribes Mammon with money (he’s a model so he looks good in front of a camera) or Beel with food (he picks up the moves surprisingly well). On the one day where none of these three were available, Asmo begged Satan nonstop until he finally agreed to learn Renegade. It ends up being the most liked video on TikTok. Satan never mentions it again.

imagine an alternate universe where MC gets sick - like, deathly ill - with a rare human disease. imagine that MC won’t reincarnate, that this is really the end.

and suddenly the bros are losing their minds because they’ve never had to worry about mortality before, and it’s upon them so suddenly

mammon works nonstop and donates every dollar towards a cure. he never tells you this, of course, but his brothers will, and there are dark circles under his eyes every time he comes to visit you. he’s hopeless and forgetful, and when you mention that he left his credit card in your hospital room by mistake, he says “what does it matter?”

levi and beel don’t really know how to help, so they camp out in your hospital room. all day, you watch different animes and chat, and even beel refuses to eat the hospital food. beel leaves for a few hours and then comes back with more food than you’ve ever seen in your life.

satan becomes more reclusive than ever, teaching himself human biology and researching every facet of the illness. but it takes years to become a researcher, and even for someone as intelligent as he is, there’s nothing he can do. instead of anger, he feels powerlessness.

lucifer and diavolo visit often, and ensure that you’re in the most comfortable conditions possible. diavolo tried to force lucifer to take time off, but work is the only thing keeping his mind off of you. he was fully aware of your human lifespan, but he hated to see it be cut so short.

it’s hardest when asmo visits, because he cries every single time without fail. you ask him to be in charge of your funeral, because you know he’ll make it beautiful, and also because this will help him to come to terms with your death when the time comes. when he’s not crying, asmo will try to pretend that everything is normal, and tell you all the drama and gossp that you’ve missed out on.

belphie talks to you about death plainly, and somehow makes you less afraid. death is just sleeping forever, right? belphie knows better than anyone how comforting it can be to let go. even now, he doesn’t like how his brothers flock to your hospital room and obsess over you - he wants to be alone with you, and he thinks you deserve space to come to terms with yourself.

the undateables pay you visits as well, but they understand that the brothers were closest to you and need every moment they can get. simeon visits mostly when you’re asleep, and he sits on your bed and wonders what the Devildom will be like without you in it. luke will sneak you baked goods when beel is asleep.

solomon and barbatos are the only ones awake when you pass. barbatos knew this was coming, but he can’t help the pain in his chest when he sees your heart monitor flatline. solomon doesn’t cry, but from that day forward, he carries a hollowness with him. the Devildom is a much darker place without your joy, and the simple troubles that follow you wherever you go.

and they will miss you profoundly. the House of Lamentation will, for once, live up to its name. none of the bros will be the same again, but they will remember the joy you brought to them all.
