This is so bad. So bad and stupid and -- ugh!

Her hands patted at the ground helpless,    her vision in one eye painfully blurry    while the other tried to make up for the    fact that all she could see were vague    shapes and colors. The ground was    nothing but a swathe of green, her    contact lost among the tall blades of    grass.

It had to be here somewhere!

Searching for her missing lens was trouble-    some on her own, but she couldn’t ask for    help. Bothering a complete stranger while    in a foreign country seemed incredibly    rude, not to mention she wasn’t sure that    she’d be able to figure out the right way to    say that she had lost a contact.

Whining and sitting back on her knees, she    felt her lower lip beginning to wobble    before she rubbed roughly at her wet    eyes with the back of her hands. This    vacation sucked.
