Thought of Stanley trying to convince Ford an injury is no big deal, because he had injuries far worse back in the day that he didn’t treat.

Scenario 1: Shows Ford Scars from wounds he didn’t treat

Scenario 2: Stanley: I didn’t get an infection. Course I did get really sick for a few days after that injury. Had a fever that I swear made me hallucinate. Heh… wait-

😭 yeahhhh, I think they both fell into the hole of not caring for themselves when they got sick. And now that they have each other again, it feels very weird to be taken care of but they eventually open up to it.

With these hospital sketches, I imagined one of Ford’s initial reaction to seeing Stanley unconscious in the hospital bed. He’s like “I’m prepared for this…” but then… he’s not. 😭

Oh for sure! Something about seeing Stan not full of life and just still and quiet is an image that Ford definitely doesn't want to imagine or see but sadly he does. Really the only thing keeping Ford sane is hearing Stan's steady heart rate from the monitor and seeing the slow rise and fall of his chest. Even then, Ford can't really help but spiral into thinking that it'll turn into something worse.

I’m thinking of writing a fanfic or doing a roleplay where Ford gets a call in his mid 20s that Stanley is dead, either murdered by unknown people or by his own hand. Ford is of course devastated. A week later, he gets a visit from Blendin Blandin with his time device saying he got an alert saying that a time device was used there without authorization, but he seemed to have gotten there too early. Ford realizes what it means and tries to take the device to go back in time to save Stanley. He does and goes back to an hour before the death, but the device breaks. So he only has one shot. What do you think?

Oh that would be interesting! Especially when Ford only has one chance to change the outcome. Lots of angst too 👀
