a gentle reminder to myself and anyone who needs to hear it.
you don’t need to be the smallest in the room
your weight does not determine your worth or beauty
you are deserving of love and proper nourishment
all bodies are unique and good bodies
those who truly love you and care for you will not stop if your weight changes
be kind to yourself
What Love Says… Nourishment
We all need more love, so why not begin with you. Fill up with self love, self compassion, and self kindness. Always nourish your heart and as you choose this loving nourishment a beautiful energy rises within.
You have loving opportunities to create joy, excitement, passion along with the sensation of remembering uncondtional love that you are.
Everything you desire is in you heart, a heart remembering love and truth created through authenticity of you.
Use your imagination to feel, see and create new ways in which to nourish your soul, heart, mind, body as often as you can.
As you nourish yourself life becomes lovingly imaginative inspiring fires within which light you up and you create a life you prefer.
When you choose to nourish yourself you choose to nourish everyone you encounter. Squeals of love as you embrace unconditional love in everything you do and ripples of love inspire others too.

A Self-Healing Day: A Beautiful Gift to Yourself Shaina Tranquilino June 24, 2024
Amidst the demands of work, family, and personal responsibilities, we often find ourselves running on empty. Our bodies and minds crave rejuvenation, yet we often neglect the very practices that can restore our energy and vitality. This is why dedicating a day to self-healing can be such a profound and transformative gift.
Imagine a day where your sole purpose is to nourish yourself—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. A day where your well-being takes center stage, and the hectic world outside fades into the background. This is the essence of a self-healing day.
Morning: Setting the Intention
Start your day with intentionality. Wake up gently, perhaps with a few moments of meditation or deep breathing. Set an intention for your self-healing day—whether it’s to relax, recharge, find clarity, or simply to pamper yourself. Enjoy a nutritious breakfast that fuels your body and sets a positive tone for the day ahead.
Mid-Morning: Connecting with Nature
Nature has a profound ability to heal and restore. Spend some time outdoors, whether it’s a leisurely walk in the park, a hike in the woods, or simply sitting by a serene body of water. Breathe in the fresh air, feel the sun on your skin, and allow yourself to be present in the natural beauty around you. Nature has a way of calming the mind and rejuvenating the spirit.
Afternoon: Nourishing Your Body
Treat your body with kindness and care. Practice yoga or indulge in a gentle exercise that brings you joy. Take a long, soothing bath with essential oils or enjoy a spa treatment if possible. Nourish yourself with wholesome, nourishing meals that not only satisfy your taste buds but also provide essential nutrients for your body to thrive.
Evening: Cultivating Inner Peace
As the day draws to a close, reflect on the moments of peace and healing you’ve experienced. Write in a journal, practice gratitude, or engage in a mindfulness practice such as guided meditation. Allow yourself to let go of any stresses or worries that may have accumulated. Embrace this time as an opportunity to nurture your emotional well-being and cultivate inner peace.
Night: Rest and Renewal
Wind down gently before bed. Engage in activities that promote relaxation, such as reading a book, listening to calming music, or enjoying a cup of herbal tea. Create a soothing bedtime routine that signals to your body and mind that it’s time to unwind and prepare for restorative sleep.
Reflections on Self-Healing
A self-healing day is not just a luxury but a necessity for maintaining overall well-being. It’s a reminder that taking care of ourselves is not selfish but essential. By investing in our own healing, we are better equipped to show up fully in our relationships, work, and daily life.
Make it a habit to prioritize self-care regularly, not just on special occasions. Even if you can’t dedicate an entire day, carve out moments in your week for activities that replenish your spirit and rejuvenate your energy. Whether it’s a daily walk in nature, a weekly yoga class, or simply taking time to savor a quiet cup of tea, these small acts of self-care add up to significant benefits over time.
Remember, self-healing looks different for everyone. Honour your unique needs and preferences as you create your own self-healing rituals. Embrace this journey of self-discovery and self-care with compassion and kindness toward yourself.
A self-healing day is more than just a break from routine; it’s a profound act of self-love and self-respect. By consciously dedicating time to heal and nourish ourselves, we honour our inherent worth and deepen our connection to our own well-being. So, give yourself the beautiful gift of a self-healing day—you deserve it.
Over the years I have observed and learned that I am the product of all that I nourish my body, my thoughts and my soul with. What I feed my thoughts with becomes me, what I feed my body with becomes me. What I give to my body and my thoughts is also what I give to my soul. If my body feels good, I have given myself the right nutrition; food, movement, rest, etc. If I feel good mentally, I have given myself the right nourishment: thoughts, environment, support, the right people, etc. If my soul is fulfilled and overflowing, I can give to others and make them feel good about themselves. I am therefore the product of everything and everyone I have been nourished from throughout my life up until now.
Quotes from my journal in ED recovery that are not about food:
"My body is my home."
"I respect my body."
"I choose to focus on what I actually care for: writing, art, women, languages."
"I can approach the things which make me anxious from a calmer, nourished, open-minded perspective."
"My body is smarter than my mind. It is not manipulated, categorised, and oppressed by society. It has wisdom for survival."
"The sights and sounds of the rain make me feel content"
"I am fascinated by this Netflix show."
"I choose to appreciate however much or little life presents to me today."
"I can be happy in this moment."
"I am working hard towards recovery and I will earn a free, full, wonderful, life."
Reading back through my journal and reflecting on the highs and lows was really moving. Specifically, these quotes remind me that life is more than numbers and anxiety and food. In those moments I felt free from an ED and could see my life shining through. I am motivated to keep going.
If you are in ED or any mental health recovery, journalling has really helped me reflect on good and bad. It helps to recognise my triggers, anchor me, and remind me of bright moments. I recommend it.
