A TINY ITSY BITSY PIECE of the next chapter cause I’m trash at 1am.

You guessed it, the start of the cookie date.

Maybe it wasn’t the best idea to get wired off of cookies this afternoon, but judging by the way Keith had taken a deep breath in when they entered the little bakery and had nearly melted on the spot, Lance figured he could have done worse.

“Got a sweet tooth?” Lance asked, a chuckle in his voice.

Keith bit his lip and turned toward the display with an assortment of types of cookies, “I wouldn’t say that. Just. It smells good. You’re telling me you don’t like the smell of baked goods?”

He looked a little embarrassed, like this wasn’t something he’d wanted to admit.

“I do. Though… it’s a bit reminiscent of things. Home. Certain perfumes…”

Some omegas.

Lance of course wasn’t going to say that part out loud. But it did occur to him. And it again reminded him that he couldn’t smell Keith the way he could usually catch a whiff of some kind of sweetness from any other omega that came at him with any kind of intentions. Just another reason why the idea of Keith being an omega, an omega who’d apparently had feelings for Lance this entire time just—

What kind of suppressants was Keith on that he could hide his scent so well?

Lance was torn between asking for himself or so he could slowly ween Keith off the stuff. How was he supposed to know if they were really compatible if he didn’t…?

Ugh, but that was on Lance too.

For the time being, Keith was just a really attractive, really adorable, really soft guy who had a crush on him and whom Lance knew too much about.

Too much he wasn’t supposed to know.

Keith nodded, his face still a little flushed for whatever reason, “I don’t… Uhm. Yeah I guess it’s just. Homey.”

Lance breathed in the smell of sugar and melting chocolate and decided he liked it enough, but it was a little overwhelming.

“Six or twelve?” Lance asked, starting to usher Keith along toward the register.

Keith looked around as if trying to find the menu and failed. Lance, having a good view of it directly beyond Keith’s head, kept his giggling to a minimum.

“Uh. Six I guess is cheaper?”

“I’m buying, don’t base it by price.”

Keith bit his lip and his brows furrowed, “If you’re buying then I’ll take a single cookie and leave it at that.” His eyes read as defiant but the fact he’d accept a single cookie almost killed Lance.

He was. Ridiculous.

“Alright, now you’ve done it. I’m buying a full eighteen and we’re going to eat every single one and die of sugar comas,” Lance marched up to the register and placed his order with barely a glance backward. When he’d finished he turned around expecting to find a petulant Keith only to find the other boy looked mildly frightened.

Lance cocked a brow and Keith managed to croak out, “Dude I can barely stomach two of them.”

At that point Lance couldn’t help the laughter that bubbled out of him. Just the way Keith’s beautiful eyes were wide, the way his jaw was just a bit slack with doubt, hands limp at his sides, the most ridiculous crinkle in his forehead like he was still trying to understand how this had happened—

“How are you this cute, my god.” Lance choked. As soon as the words escaped him he tried to catch himself and ended up coughing around nothing. Keith’s face went so pink it went down his neck and while this was an incredibly pleasing thing to know, Lance had no idea how he was supposed to function with Keith looking at him like that...

Any A/B/O fics you like? I love the dynamic but I never really find a good one :(

A/B/O Has to be my favorite dynamic besides Prince Lance and Guard Keith AU’s. So, my dear friend, let me share with you my favorite A/B/O stories. I don’t know if you’re looking for A/B/O smut or not so Ill give you three smut and three nonsmut. As I was looking over my recommendations I realized most of these are Alpha Keith fics…. I’m not sorry. 

Smut:

1) What Else Could a Virgin Omega Do? | By: The_Broken_Dreamer | Completed | 13,831 words | Explicit 

Lance was standing where he never thought he’d be standing, in line at the front desk of the nearest Alpha Brothel.

Notes: 

Its smut so there’s really not much to say. 

2) Mates? | By: Lancelotv01 | Completed | 7,674 words | Mature

Keith hated dancing, it was never his forte, so why Shiro was forcing him to attend the usual mating ball, he didn’t know. He would never find a mate with his moves, and he didn’t mind keeping it that way. Though seeing a lovely tall tanned man make his way across the dance floor just might be enough motivation for him to try and change how he feels about dancing to attract a mate. // thank you to my friends who helped me edit this and I hope you guys enjoy my first published work//

Notes: 

This is actually probably one of my favorite A/B/O stories just because I like the concept of the whole dance for a mate thing? I don’t know I really like this story even with the small amount of smut it has. 

3) Green Light | By: warschach | Completed | 74,790 words | Not Rated (But its explicit)

Keith’s good with trouble, he’s alpha and a skilled cop in Chicago’s Alpha Unit, so when shit hits south Keith can change it to north. If bad guys run Keith ropes them in. If bullets fly Keith is usually good at not being the target. Not the same for knives but- he knows how to handle trouble. So why the fuck can’t he handle one pretty omega with a chip on his shoulder and literal water for eyes?

This is my favorite A/B/O and the first one that I read for the Voltron fandom. I think you’ll like this.

Gravitational Forces

"Keith?” Shiro knocked on the door adjacent to his own. Not sure if the other paladin was even awake, he knocked again. "Hey... can I come in? I don’t want to bother you... it’s just you, uh, you smelled kind of... funny today and I just wanted to make sure you’re okay?”

As far as he knew, he was the only one that was completely aware of Keith’s situation, considering he’d been there when he’d presented nearly a year early and about a week after Shiro had (who was a year late). And now standing outside his friend’s door, he hoped he wasn't coming off as rude or overprotective. He was just worried.

Their first day Allura had assured Keith that even though he was late and he hadn’t presented he would likely be an alpha since that was the preferred dynamic match to the lions. Though she’d amended when coming across Pidge who was very much a beta, that occasionally the less finicky lions pick betas, but being the red paladin the chances of that were ‘extremely low.’ 

Apparently it was unheard of to have an omega piloting a lion, so he understood why Keith never really let the topic get brought up and why he was religiously taking his suppressants, sometimes getting Shiro to help him sneak out to buy more. 

“C’mon,” he knocked again, “I know you’re up.” Shiro didn’t want to have to use his alpha voice, but he would if Keith continued being stubborn. “Keith, please.”
