re: non-omegaverse Yuu in an omegaverse!twst and scents
Faux Pas holds the stance that a non-omegaverse Yuu has no scent and cannot smell any scents on the Twst Boys, but body odour and stuff exists, and that’s a Smell.
So, regarding this, for this AU’s purposes Yuu smells weird (normal human-ish smell because they’re not from an omegaverse universe so they don’t smell like a scented candle) and cannot perceive the layer of smell that denotes individuality and emotion in the Twst universe because they have a much less sensitive nose. Also their smell doesn’t seem to vary with emotion. This doesn’t mean they can’t smell the Twst boys at all, though.
Also, scent doesn’t stick to them the same because their skin oils aren’t meant to trap scent like those of Teisted Wonderland.
Because people in this Twisted Wonderland emote and show tells mainly through scent unless they’re actors filming something, they tend to be shit at disguising their facial expressions or interpreting those of others. This means that, along with being forced to develop therapy skills because of the Overblots, means an autistic Prefect could suddenly go from struggling hopelessly to navigate the intricate web of dumb neurotypical social rules to being seen as terrifyingly socially adept within a surprisingly short time because of isekai.
