my theory of the egg (+ some thoughts about lore on tftsmp)

thank you ris for sitting through my excited ramblings about all of this

the theory of the egg

sir billiam said he built the mansion around the egg. therefore, the egg cannot move. as such, the badlands now stands where billiam’s mansion once stood. 

the egg said “do i know you” to technoblade, so we can assume that the egg recognizes sir billiam in techno’s face, and that the egg has sentience, however the egg can’t see nametags, or it would have said something to ranboo. 

the egg possibly moves in stages. stage one being infect, aka the stage currently happening with badboyhalo as the guardian. the egg infects people to gain power, and control as much as possible.  stage two is consume, the stage sir billiam had the egg in. anything that the egg cannot control, it destroys. the stages would not be cyclic with the proper care of a guardian, but i hypothesize that as the egg grew in power and size, sir billiam and ranbutler were no longer able to satiate it, so it consumed them both. it then was forced to use up it’s stored power to sustain itself and stay alive while it waited for another guardian. 

in the infection stage, the egg typically goes for things and people that are cared about, in hopes of reeling in the most amount of people and power. take skeppy, for example. the egg gained it’s most successful (that we have seen) guardian, badboyhalo, by consuming one person. sir billiam cared about his mansion, so therefore the egg siphoned power from the mansion, crumbling the foundation and sinking the egg into the dirt. the egg told badboyhalo to go for ranboo as soon as techno showed the slightest interest in him, because the egg wants techno. 

(side note: ranboo is probably too scared to go back to l’mancrater without techno but you know who isnt? you know who lost a lot by joining the smp? you know who could gain a lot by joining the eggpire? philza)

location/lore ideas and theories for tftsmp

-church prime’s holy lands in the wild west and the modern holy land are the same (disproved in a later point)

-badboyhalo excavated the remains of the mansion in order to get to the egg

-whatever party quackity was going to in the masquerade also has remains, the fossils of an underground nudist party 300 blocks away askdjskdj

-the village that went mad is most likely not anywhere near the main lands of the smp, due to no indication that it would be other than it being the same biome as billiam’s mansion (which doesnt confirm a whole lot)

- sir billiam’s poster was up in the wild west, meaning this takes place at the same time, possibly nearby one of billiams mansions. it also raises the question of billiam’s death. was he caught by the sheriff of the wild west? or was he consumed by the egg? if we bring in my consideration of the eggs location, the wild west probably isnt near where the crater is now, meaning my holy lands point is null, but a religion can spread far, whereas the egg cannot. was sheriff thompson sir billiam’s younger brother who was angry when billiam got the inheritance?

-violence is the number one form of currency/the only language in this world is violence (there seems to be a Theme)

I mean generally the leader of a hivemind is called a queen- wait. is the egg a queen? would bbh be the equivalent of an advisor? or (cursed version) a consort???
