Hi stebeee😄 in trapped we see Shaofei that, in the hospital, say "i love you" to Tang Yi. He didn't say the same to shaofeibut he shows his love in various ways and he thanks Sf for loving him. You have an headcanon about when he says "I love you" to shaofei??

alright headcanon anon i’ve got this!! HAHAHA so basically five times tang yi finds the urge to say i love you but shows it instead, and one time he actually does?!! 

so this happens probably AFTER the entire drama right, after the last ep with the omelette scene where tang yi is all thanks for loving me and everything and then HE FUCKS OFF TO JAIL omg still crying over that but as i’ve learnt with history3: modc if the main characters don’t die and are still like in a relationship together even if one of them ends up in jail? that’s a fucking good ending.

so i’m thinking:

1. when shao fei visits tang yi in jail on his birthday, almost ten months since he began to serve, and he even manages to pull some strings and gets FIVE MINUTES in the office with tang yi, and it’s the first time in forever since they’ve spoken to and seen each other without the plexiglass between them, and shao fei is there with another dumbass cute cake and TY REALLY WANTS TO SAY IT but the wardens and in-charge are there so all he does is resist the urge and go for a hug instead

2. after tang yi leaves prison he sometimes gets nightmares about his days in prison? nothing huge really happened but he had to look over his shoulder for months and he got into a few fights as well due to his reputation and the enemies he had in prison, and that anxiety somehow brought back his childhood memories of the days before he met boss tang and anyway he’s a total mess but he tries not to tell shao fei, but the nightmares are hard to hide, and then one night he wakes shao fei up with his thrashing around in bed and shouts, and from then on for a long time shao fei stays up to soothe him through the night, and when he finally notices the dark eye circles on shao fei when he comes home from work one night to see shao fei conked out on the living room couch, he’s suddenly struck with the realization - just how much shao fei loves him and how much he does for him, but sf’s finally asleep and ty doesn’t have the heart to wake him, and instead sits with him on the couch until the man wakes up and gives him a kiss

3. tang yi sees shao fei giving a pep talk to hong ye who’s kind of sulking and having a tantrum and being anxious about her wedding to dao yi - and it suddenly strikes him that these few weeks he’s been really busy with work and three board members who’ve been trying to oust him out in a takeover, and he hasn’t really had time to actually be with hong ye throughout the process of her wedding preparations and he’s also taken dao yi away from her as well because who else is scarier than dao yi when he gets all gangster and pissed, and it’s shao fei who’s been accompanying her to see her wedding dress, to talk to caterers etc. in between all the chaos (and hong ye herself also getting into the business fight some) and also arguing with her to make her feel more at ease, and tang yi realises that hong ye now has two brothers, and her and dao yi’s child would have two uncles, and isn’t that a really nice thought? shao fei looks up to see him staring at them and the man gives him a reassuring smile, and fucking hell, tang yi just wants to go over and kiss him and tell him he loves him but he’s interrupted when dao yi turns up saying they found the culprit who leaked their business information, and his plan is derailed again

4. tang yi is at work, and he heads down to the building’s cafe on the fourth floor to get his own coffee and stretch his legs, and before he even leaves the lift he hears shao fei’s voice - worried, he hurries out, only to see shao fei giving a table full of some employees a earful about respecting their boss and not being assholes and cowards and “do you know how hard tang yi works every day? do you know how caring and generous he is towards his employees? do you know how loyal he is to the people who are loyal to him? and all you mofos know to do is to badmouth him behind his back etc. etc. etc.” and omg tang yi LOVES HIM SO MUCH IT HURTS, but all he does is step up behind shao fei once two of the employees out of the whole group snark back at shao fei and insults him and tang yi fires the two on the spot and gives the rest a warning because NO ONE EXCEPT HIM IS ALLOWED TO BULLY SHAO FEI

5. shao fei gets hurt REALLY bad on one of his missions and tang yi literally goes through hell, worser than any time before, because this time there’s a chance shao fei isn’t going to make it back - he’s a total wreck and refuses to leave shao fei’s side and keeps kissing at shao fei’s hand and his knuckles and whispering to him to please not leave him, and when shao fei finally, finally wakes two weeks later, tang yis throat just wells up and even though his heart is bursting with love and relief and hope and everything, he can’t bring himself to say anything and just starts crying softly into shao fei’s shoulder as the man tries to soothe him with a really hoarse and weak voice

+1 there never seems to be a right, right time to declare his love for shao fei, and while shao fei knows without a doubt how much tang yi loves him, he knows that, tang yi feels guilty still that he can’t say it out loud to shao fei for some reason, even if he feels really strongly for it sometimes - and then one day, as shao fei is washing the dishes as tang yi dries them after breakfast, the sunlight falling so prettily against shao fei, and he just- blurts it out. and the dish slips from shao fei’s slack grip into the sink as he stares, stunned, at tang yi, and tang yi feels the same unbridled joy that shao fei undoubtedly feels right now, because he was able to give this to shao fei, to put the look on shao fei’s face and-
