As a writer, listening to Zach and Jess talk and work together writing a musical is really wonderful. I love how they communicate and how things evolve as they write new drafts and how open they are to each other’s ideas but how they really respect when the other likes something and wants to keep it. I adore their dynamic and you can tell how deep their friendship is and how rooted it is in mutual respect and empathy and being each other’s biggest fans. I love it. It’s gorgeous to hear.
