Hey There Centaurs!

Welcome to my TTRPG blog—

My name is Ro. I write about Actual Plays and offer TTRPG advice from a writer's point of view when it comes to creating characters and stories. I also write books, which you'll find by heading over to my linktree.

I blog about Dimension 20, Not Another D&D Podcast, Drawtectives, Worlds Beyond Number, Three Black Halflings, Dungeons & Daddies, Critical Role and anything else tangentially related. (Drawfee, Dropout shows, Smosh and other actual plays with my favourite players.)

Spoiler Alert:

There's a fun easter egg in book two where the main character meets a helpful Irish New Yorker named Brennan who is a union organizer.

It's the only easter egg I remember but I wouldn't be surprised if there are more because I love infusing D20 and Naddpod references into my writing.

Also, just want to shout out Julia Lepetit of Drawfee and her show Drawtectives as being a big influence. I love Drawtectives and it's a big reason I decided to write these mysteries to begin with.

Watching the five other Intrepid Heroes’ reactions to Siobhan and Brennan running the Whittaker Thanksgiving scene is so much fun. Ally’s facial expressions especially tickle me.

Rekha's portrayal of Katja Cleaver really really gets to me. Thanking Sandra-Lynn for coming because she's a mom who showed up for her. Saying the one thing she wants for graduation she can't have because it's her dad and he's not there. Telling Zelda that someone has to want to be there. Rekha injects so much pathos into this sweet horse girl. Her character work in The Seven is so spectacular and these understated moments make me teary eyed.

#the allegory to Black boyhood Lou brought to this character is simply unmatched by any other adaptation of pinocchio. it's That Good.

There are six red foxes in my field, a mom and five kits. They're just frolicking and having a great time in the nicest, warmest day we've had so far. I wish I could get a picture but they're too far out for my phone.

If you EVER think Anthony Head is anything less than an angel then you’d best remember that I have always been a huge fan of his and we’ve always had a little contact over the years and he heard I’d come out as Trans and was having a hard time and that I was kind of sad that the photos I had from conventions with him were of me with long hair and no binder and they were all signed to “Sarah” and so he invited me to spend the day with him at his farm and he picked me up from the station and we just hung out and had lunch and he insisted on paying and took loads of photos and had them printed on photo paper the same day so he could sign them to Jay, along with other photos of him as Giles and Uther and he literally spent five hours chatting with me and got all of the pronoun stuff right every time and then he dropped me off at the station, gave me a final massive hug, waved me through the ticket barrier and insisted I message him when I got home so he knew I got back safe.
