Starting Off on a Good Note [@Holo]
Yui was still unsure of Arcadios. Though beautiful, it was a very confusing place for the petite musician. Every day she wondered why she ended up here after leaving the afterlife school and why the other students didn’t. Often, the Aries awoke with a rotten attitude because of this confusion. Nevertheless, there were still plenty of days when she bounced out of bed, just glad to be able to move her body.
The memories of being paralyzed were distant to her now; they felt unreal at times. Yet, on the off-chance that they turned up in her thoughts, they were still very potent. They still had the power to make her think twice about the potential of this new land. And it was very rare for Yui to think twice about anything.
Today was one of the odd days that she found herself unable to shake the terrible memories of her first life, so when she couldn’t stand it any longer, she decided to travel as far as she could until she found fun. This is what prompted her to discover Hevia.
The roar of waterfalls crashing into their pools was just a soft thrumming to her for now, but she could tell that she was getting closer and closer to the source of the noise. With eagerness, she hiked through the forest that surrounded the gorgeous place until she heard something…almost like footsteps.
Yui tilted an ear toward the sound, trying to distinguish between the noises near her and the resonance of the cascading waterfalls. She concluded that there was definitely someone coming. The girl didn't really want to get into a scuffle, so she quickly thought up something to make them happy. Maybe...attempting to scare them!
She turned and climbed up the nearest tree, letting out little grunts as she struggled to scale it fast enough to hide. When she was a good distance from the ground, she set her sights on the path below her, carefully steadying herself so the broken handcuffs adorning her wrists wouldn't jingle and give away her location.
“Aha! I’ve got you now!” she thought to herself as a smirk crossed her lips.
