God. I dont really have any intelligent thoughts about this rn but. I reallyyyyyy really wish the Kremy/Gricko dynamic was explored more. Theyre so interesting to me me as thematic parallels <3
like. they're life and death. They're selfishness vs selflessness. they're the city vs the wilds, they're words vs actions, they're deceit vs honesty. They have such different view points on the world and don't usually seem to meet eye to eye but like. They balance each other out. The party would inherently be missing something if either one of them because they themselves can't exist wholly without the other, no matter how much it may seem like they don't get along
Gricko is so in tune with the natural world and holds so much love in his heart for his friends and family and just. everything. He respects all of the creatures and people they stumble across and is appalled when they encounter atrocities. He wears his heart so earnestly on his sleeve and is just so genuine in everything he does.
And Kremy is his polar opposite, so much more comfortable in urban settings and keeping even his closest friends at an arms length just in case. He can't admit to himself how much he cares, gods forbid admit to them. Everything needs to be carefully thought through and rationalized to hell and back. Every word is so carefully chosen to yield himself the best result.
they just balance each other out so nicely, too different to work super well as a pair i think but just different enough to be invaluable to the group as a whole, the really even out the party dynamics and offer unique takes on any given problem yknow?
