The District Development Model is in motion at Sekhukhune. It was humbling to see stakeholders pledging to make the model a success by contributing in the development of one plan and rationalization of budgets.A number of economic catalytic projects have been identified to form part of the one plan for the Sekhukhune District. These include the construction of a water distillery, farming projects, mining beneficiation, improvement of the road infrastructure and building of sporting facilities. The mines went further to commit funds in excess of R72 Million to refurbish the single lane Malekane Steel Bridge and build a dual lane bridge. The construction of the bridge will create job opportunities and facilitate economic activities in the area. We are looking forward to work with all stakeholders to grow the economy of Sekhukhune and improve service delivery. We took the opportunity to urge all in attendance to continue to adhere to all COVID-19 health protocols. We were pleased that they also committed to fight the scourge of Gender Based Violence and Femicide in our society. #DDM #OnePlan #OneBudget #StaySafe with MEC Makamu and EM of Sekhukhune Mr Stan Ramaila https://www.instagram.com/p/CH0DCxQDOUN/?igshid=150uj06jcp9wy
