Sooo I haven’t updated in a while but I’m currently 2 days post op. The two week pre op liquid diet was trash. Being completely honest and transparent I didn’t follow it 100% and I’m okay with that. This is my journey and I will do what I know is right for me. I’m planning on following post op regulations to the T because I not gonna do anything to put my new stomach in jeopardy. Pre op I would have my liquids during the day then have a salad for dinner. I got my period halfway through and stayed strong during day one but buy day two I couldn’t take it so I had a veggie burger, I had chik-fil-a 2 days before surgery and the day before I fasted only water and crystal light for the entire day, keep in mind I had my medical- Surg final that morning and wasn’t feeling so hot during this test. I’m feeling okay now, gas pain feels like horrid period cramps, I’ve walked twice and I’m getting a little bit of liquids in, I’m trying my best but I feel nauseous everytime I try. Fingers crossed that I get to go home today!

VSG UPDATE/ First real post 😅

Today (08/21/19) was my pre op appointment and my freaking birthday *Que Drakes Ratchet happy birthday * I’m officially 21 and it’s so lame that my birthday landed on a Wednesday 🤦🏾‍♀️. Anyways the appointment went well, I weighed in at 277lbs which was great because my allowed max was 282. I knew I should be fine bc I’ve been weighing my myself every morning for the past week to stay on top of myself. I even told the nurse that I’d get naked right there if the number came back slightly too high 😂. My surgery date is scheduled for September 25th!!! Praise the lord and the closer I get the more nervous and anxious I become. This is literally something I originally set out to do at 18 but things just kept falling through. Three years later I began the process all over again in January only to hit roadblocks at each and every step but I haven’t nor will I give up bc I refuse to give up on myself. It’s now or never. I’m so ready for this, I feel like if I don’t do this I’ll never truly have the confidence to live my life fully. Pre op diet begins on September 11th. I have so much to do and to buy, not only is this process long but it’s surly not cheap either, I need one more set of lab work to do and that’s really all for now!
