So does Charlie, and I love that she wants to match me...even if it’s hot pink and ice creams.
These two have made it clear to me just how much can change in one year. Almost 7 months ago, this little girl came into our lives and changed our whole worlds...but she had already done that when we found out about her existence. And while this adventure has not been easy, I’m glad I got to go through it with that woman right there. Karen, your strength and resiliency have gotten us to this point. Your ability to remain calm when the baby is freaking out and I’m freaking out and calm both of us down is impressive. And the way you love her, the way you look at her...you are the most amazing mother, and I’m so incredibly thankful to whatever power that be, that you are her mother. There’s no one I’d rather do this with, and I’m so incredibly happy that I get to call you both mine. Happy first mother’s day with our girl outside of you, Karen. Thank you.

Oh I’m fueled by too much coffee and sarcasm, not much energy. And it was Charlie, so a five year old, not a baby.

I am seriously in looooove with your little buddy. And that raincoat is definitely the cutest thing I have seen in such a long time! Besides baby clothes, got to be honest… but still!
He is pretty dang amazing...and adorable! [laughs] His skin was drying out, so I’m hoping the raincoat helps.
