She means well, but it generally very confused as to why my life/aspirations don’t match up with hers quite the same. It doesn’t help that one of the drawbacks of having a big Irish family is that almost everyone will always either know or be up in your business.

They’re getting better at controlling the mayhem, though! (And acknowledging and helping when I’m upset, which is good.)

I'll second The Librarians. It's even campier, but it's got a lot of the same writers/directors/cast. Sirens is pretty short, but also hilarious (if medical stuff isn't triggery - it's about EMT/paramedics). Supergirl is also sweet and adorable.

SUPERGIRL. It's literally everything you listed. I'm also watching Brooklyn 99 right now, and it's pretty good, but I do have a hard time divorcing the police setting from current events

I'm also going to plug Galavant because I love that show and how can you resist a medieval fantasy musical that pokes fun at all the tropes?

So, last night I asked you all for TV help, and @lbmisscharlie was one of the first responders, so I watched the pilot of Supergirl while doing my Sunday laundry marathon. Which was adorable, and I will be watching more. If the gifsets she’s been posting lately are anything to go by there are canonically queer characters, which makes me very happy.

And then this morning I woke up to the above in my inbox, and holy shit I did not realize Christian Kane* was in The Librarians? Or that it was a Dean Devlin show? My dudes, I will be watching this too. All other shows mentioned were already on my TBW list, but have moved up significantly, I just don’t watch all that much TV so it might take me a while. Thank you! Regularly-scheduled book blogging will return soon!

*someone please help me understand my weird and out-of-character crush on Kane. Super not my type. And I have a lot of types. NEVERTHELESS.
