I've done that before bc they were wearing a dean shirt and they just replied "I've bet you haven't even seen the show before" and I was just like "yes bitch I have that's why I said I like it, now the only thing nice about you is the shirt"

omg i hate it when people do that because if you're complimenting them on a fandom shirt then there's a high chance you know or are in the fandom, and even if you haven't watched the show then as long as you aren't being inappropriate then they need to get off their high horse and accept the compliment

i think the reason people want it talked about more is the reason that people dont seem to believe that a women can do that kind of job, i dont think its better because it was written by a women i just think people are excited because it was written by a women not a man who usually happens to be write movies like that

Yeah I can see that side of it, but by trying to bring it to attention it becomes more of an oddity.If people make a big deal out of it because of how uncommon it is, It'll just discourage women from writing said movies, simply due to the thought of how uncommon getting that job actually is in the first place.Sure some people will be encouraged but if you pull attention to a gender bias you're more likely to discourage people that were thinking of doing said job if they didn't know about the bias to begin with.For example, ballet is commonly associated as a woman's form of dancing, and while there are men who do it, it's a lot less common than women.If a boy didn't know that, he wouldn't see a problem with doing ballet if he enjoyed it, but if you brought the gender bias for it to attention, it'd be more likely to discourage said child from doing it than it would to encourage him.also on that note I want to make it clear I don't agree with said gender bias' I believe if you can do the job well, then the genitalia you are born with or the gender you identify with shouldn't matter.
