Star Wars Alien Species - Ongree

Skustell, an oceanic planet in the Skustell Cluster of the Outer Rim Territories. It was the homeworld of the Ongree, an amphibious sentient species, Skustell became part of the Galactic Republic, although its people were not widely seen away from their homeworld. The planet was mostly covered in water. It was rumored that a golden waterfall on the planet hid the entrance of a cave, which contained treasures.

Ongree were commonly seen as a diplomatic, measured species. This opinion was fostered by the arrangement of their eyestalks; since Ongree could see an object from multiple angles, it was thought that this ability gave the species a unique mindset, allowing them to examine a situation from all possible perspectives. It was believed that their literal and figurative outlooks were linked by a psychological trait. Due to their unique psychologies, many members of the species were adept negotiators, diplomats, and politicians, though this characteristic was also exploited for less wholesome activities, and some were known to consort with crime lords and gangsters.

During the Cold War, there was a cult of Ongree who worshipped Revan on Nar Shaddaa, one of whom was Azraj-Nug. Circa 22 BBY, two Ongree, Pablo-Jill and Coleman Kcaj, ascended to the rank of Jedi Master within the Jedi Order; Kcaj was also one of the last members of the Jedi Council before their downfall. During this same period, Acros-Krik was mayor of the Uscru Entertainment District on Coruscant, and was heavily involved in criminal activities. Jiyan Dar was a commander in the Galactic Republic and participated in the Galactic War.

Ongree, an amphibious sentient species characterized by yellowish or brownish skin and elongated, tapering heads. Two flexible eyestalks protruded from either side of an Ongree's head, allowing them to see an object from many angles. Their lipless mouths were located above four nostrils and their other facial features, giving them an "upside-down" facial appearance. They possessed two thick fingers and an opposable thumb on each hand. Despite the apparent lack of dexterity inherent in their makeup, Ongree were nevertheless able to hold even small objects with ease. Their natural agility was belied by their humpbacked, awkward appearance.

Examples of Names: Acros-Krik, Coleman Kcaj, Jiyan Dar and Pablo-Jill.

Language: They spoke their native language, Ongreenen, and Galactic Basic Standard.

Ghosts of the Separatists- Kama-Ri and Aoma Lynkr

 When the Quarren Isolation League lead their people against the Mon Calamari and Republic by joining the CIS they were soon crushed in the ensuing first battle of Dac where Jedi Master Kit Fisto lead a successful counter offensive. As the Quarren Separatists went underground a group of engineers and starship designers fled offworld to continue to support the Separatist Navy with much of their ships being of Quarren design. Kama-Ri is one such member of this the group known as the Free Dac Volunteer’s Engineering Corp. An apprentice in starship design before the war, she held great distrust of her people’s surface dwelling neighbors strongly believing that the Mon Calamari to be exploiting the Quarren which spurred Kama-Ri to diligently work on secret military projects with the growing Secessionist Movement being a catalyst for her later occupation. Currently she operates out of Tibrin being dispatched there following the Separatist takeover to assist in building up the aerospace infrastructure while simultaneously developing new spacecraft as part of weapons development for the Separatist Navy. Captain of Section 4 Sikha San Ourag worked closely with Kama-Ri during General Grievous’ invasion of Duro as they utilized an experimental fighter to press the assault.

 Ongree scientist Aoma Lynkr on the other hand is the director of the entire think tank on Tibrin. The N0 Facility was erected just outside of the planets capital to develop new naval craft and weapons systems to continually out maneuver their Republic counterparts. With researchers, engineers, and scientists from all of the Confederacy's major technology conglomerates, the N0 Unit has a plentiful supply of intellectual manpower as well as financial resources to fund their projects. Aoma herself developed a new prototype droid brain far superior to that of most larger droid attack crafts. Her promising AI is now the centre of of the division's work as they make strives in creating a machine for which to house the brain without restriction. While Aoma and her development team continue to produce various prototype chassis, the weapons division is meanwhile making experimental new systems designed specifically for the new droid with the end product hoping to be an impressive weapon of a caliber unseen before in the field of combat robotics.
