#latrip - #vacation stop #21 - 1:35 pm - @fleishiks for the #onionringjourney ... 4/10 -it's #beerbatter and we know how I feel about beerbatter (if you don't know, I don't like it..), and portion size was tiny ... but they made it fresh, saw them cutting the onions right after I ordered it ... but these were the spiciest things I've ever consumed ... after telling the owner, he gave me a drink on the house , but an hour later and I'm still feeling the heat ... yes, and I had 2! On a plus side, he batter isn't heavy which typically a beer batter is ... super oily ... but that's not a bad thing ... and somehow it's not crunchy? Stop #4 on the #onionringadventure - @holyschnitzelny - per the advice of @choyboy628 and @thebetterman - as the best #onionring in the #5towns ... total - 8/10 - so, it was takeout, lets start with that but for $6.99, the portions are huge ... and it's actually #realonions - in a #fastfood shop, this is a rarity, as in, #imimpressed ... but was it the best I've ever had? I'm not going that far, but in the fast food category this is the best ive ever seen (or tasted). #crunchy - yes #oily - yes , but as I always say, who doesn't love #oil #deepfriedeverything - the batter, they use breadcrumbs, and it's pretty thin, falling off as I pick them up even, but I do often prefer this over the alternative which is basically batter + batter + batter + double fried + is there actually an onion somewhere in there? (I cAll those onion donuts, not something I look for when ordering onion rings) And of course my favorite part of any taste test - how did it fare the next morning for breakfast? #onionbreath but ya, i pregamed my July 4th BBQ with some of the best day old #onionrings around!
