YouTube Channel Chaos

This started out as a humorous little discussion with some friends on Discord. Now, here we are.

Megatron owns a gardening channel and possibly too many roses, while Starscream owns a channel called Superstar Bonsai That Makes You Wanna Scream (guess what that channel is about).

At this point, I have no idea how many stories will end up in this series, but it's fun and I need a bit of positivity and silliness right now. I suspect I'm not alone in that, so enjoy the madness with me if you need an escape from the world.

Oh man. I am not one to complain about poor customer service, and I try to be extremely clear in communication, but today I had The Worst™ chat with a support agent.

I sold something on an online platform. I had enabled local pickup. My buyer couldn’t select it at checkout, apparently because local pickup is for LOCAL PEOPLE, there’s nothing for you here they needed to use one specific payment method, which sounded weird, so I contacted support via chat.

Got connected with this dude who, for whatever reason, could not understand what I was telling him. It was like they weren’t reading anything I was writing. Just sailed past my responses to tell me to do what I HAD JUST TOLD HIM I ALREADY DID.

And in one paragraph immediately contradicted themselves. “Oh you should be able to do X,” immediately followed by a copy and paste from their FAQ that said IN THE TITLE “You specifically cannot do X.”

So this person somehow slipped past all the hiring managers, was stoned out of their gourd, had English as maybe their sixteenth language, and was deliberately trying to get fired, is my guess.

And now I have to meet the buyer for the handoff tomorrow, and hopefully we can signal to the company that they received it, so I can get paid.
