A really rough sketch of Michael Shelly in a back brace from around a month ago that I didn't feel like posting but I haven't done another sketch of him in one yet and am too tired too. So I'm posting this to hold myself accountable to draw him wearing one more very soon.

I did wear a back brace before having a surgery. My brace was a last ditch effort to stop me from needing the surgery (it didn't work) mine specially was made to be slept in at night over a shirt. I gave Micheal my exact brace shape wise, not design wise as mine was like a galaxy (look the galaxy print clothing was very common at the time and it was the least ugly design so-) or something and I didn't want to draw that. There is also a note on the page saying "He has Chiari Malformation" that is a condition that as a side effect can cause scoliosis, what mine and subsequently my Michael's back brace is for. Yes I'm giving this character my (very real) disability!

And implied GerryMichael, I remember always either wearing a super tight breathable shirt or a big breathable oversized shirt with the brace. I think Gerry would jump at the chance to see his partner wearing his clothing to bed, even under a hard kinda uncomfortable brace

Y'all ever wanna like a character so bad but you just can't?

Like, I WANT to like Shadow Milk. He is so interesting and well written. He has a cool design. He has a backstory that I can sympathize with. His whole concept is really really cool and I think he's executed very well.

But oh my god.

HIS BEHAVIOR.

I get why he acts how he does but I get such AWFUL second-hand embarrassment listening to him speak. I don't even know why but every time I hear him start yapping I know he's gonna make a fool of himself and I'm just cringing so hard. 😭

Going through Beast-Yeast 7-8 rn is HELL. How the fuck is Pure Vanilla tolerant enough of him to literally ASK TO BE FRIENDS? I want to tear off my ears every time he speaks

Look what arrived today!

My mother got me these as a congratulations for six months clean, and they arrived this morning.

They are all rescued and repurposed vintage furs, often from old stage costumes.

From left to right- Pine marten tail, 1930s, Ringtail cat tail, 1990s, mink tail, 1990s-early 2000s, dyed mink tail, modern

I turned the more recent ones into keychains, and they are going to be used in my LARP costume when that finally happens.
