Reince Priebus accidentally tells the truth

In an interview with “Fox and Friends” (which is the real name of a news show), White House Chief of Staff Reince “the one who isn’t a literal Nazi” Priebus said:

“When you have to spend half your day putting out phony stories, that becomes a distraction.”

I could not agree more, Reince.  Why don’t you tell your boss you refuse to put out any more phony stories? 

One might argue that Reince meant to say “putting out fires based on phony stories,” or “debunking phony stories.”  One might also remind the reader that there’s a name an error that reveals what the speaker is really thinking:  it’s called a Freudian slip.
