Bucky sighed as he slid back into the seat at the bar, ordering another beer. He couldn’t get drunk but sometimes he liked the taste.

Who is he even trying to kid. He needs the taste.

He took the beer as it was slid over to him and started to drink it, eyes taking in everyone around. He finished the drink and dropped a Benjamin on the bar top before standing and leaving. Even going to bars left him feeling empty.

As he was passing an alley, he heard a man’s voice.

“Please no! I have a family...I’ve given you all I have.”

Bucky frowned and turned, heading towards the voice. He saw a well dressed man being held at gun point.

“Hey!” He called. “I’d suggest you leave.”
