eeee yay! if it's not a formally written offer letter, and you want the job, maybe something like "Thank you for your interest! I'm excited about this opportunity, and I'm eager to talk about details and next steps. When can we iron things out?" bc that says "hey i'm psyched but im not gonna do a formal yes until everything is in writing so i can negotiate if need be"

well it is a formally written offer letter, and I do want it! some of the information is already available (next steps, etc) so I might try to say something along the lines of “thank you, I’m looking forward to starting in september”?

whenever i feel weird/uncomfortable about gender (which is most of the time) it helps to just think of "my" gender as the position where i am placed in this weird-ass matrix of power rather than some Real Innate Truth about myself? gender is weirdddd idk

that is generally how i have been thinking about (my) gender also! but occasionally i think too hard about the fact that people probably *think* my gender is some Real Innate Truth (or at least think that *I* think so) & at those times i start to feel real uncomfortable
