this was much easier and much stupider to get right than I expected given OnShape's weird feature asymmetries.

Being an industrial designer is one part serious two parts putting the stinky 3D models in the 3D jello of shame.
Shame
Decided to play around in OnShape. Don't expect anything else about me referring to it but I do love this guy, I named them Wumpus :]
and this is with some other stuff that I would not be able to do for my skill level in mspaint. Drawing this made me love Wumpus more
Wumpus my wump <3
i made a mage staff on a whim. seems pretty useful…
had kind of a crazy brain blast today...
wanted to create my own cardboard vase templates for paper mache. Just sat around and thought about how I would manipulate the shapes in onshape (free CAD software). I'm sure there is a tutorial for this but I wanted to see if I could figure it out on my own... once I figured out that I had to circular array the silhouette in 3D space it was smooth sailing. Next steps will be taking the shapes I drew that make up each facet and copying them into a new sketch so I can play around with placement for the most efficient laser cutting.
I have been learning the basics of designing in 3D. I am still very much a beginner, but I was really happy to design this and have it come out as good as it did on the first try. All the pieces fit together perfectly and the drawer slides properly.
It's ugly as all sin, but I was just playing around. I'm working on a better design already.
Sorry for the language
