We captured Ariel Pink’s full set when he played a surprise show with R. Stevie Moore and the Makeout Room in San Francisco
In the studio with Shannon and the Clams while recording Gone By The Dawn
Music video for “Moon” by Deadbeat. Shot in Santa Cruz, CA. For me the song was like dream-like escapism, something I also feel on a rollercoaster.

Thanks, Eric Oxford for the dancing robot!
I have become obsessed with the new album by Shannon and the Clams called Gone By The Dawn. This is a classic break up album but don't let that deter you. I would proudly say it sits up there with Seamonsters as a great one. I think this is the best album by Shannon and The Clams that I have heard. It mixes 50's doo wop with modern day garage rock and is a super hit with me. Sonny Smith, who is pretty awesome in his own right as an artist, produced the album and he has absolutely nailed it. I can't remember the last time I loved every song on an album but this is one where I can safely say that. It is easily one of my favourite albums this year and even my wife didn't tell me it was shit when I played for her today. This is a good sign and I am pretty sure it will grow on her, or not, it doesn't matter right now. Shannon Shaw is in top form and her band sound awesome. I really think you will all find this album is perfect for you on every level (unless you like techno and stuff and if you do why are you reading this anyway?). You can try the album from here if you want to. Rock it, doo wop it and, most importantly, enjoy it. You can also watch a short documentary about the making of the album. Thank you Shannon and the Clams, thank you very much.
And that's a wrap! #VideoBar #Midnight #OOFTV #NewSeries (at Oakland, California)
