I think a very underrated but very interesting aspect of Hlvrai is how Gordon views death throughout the series. Like at the beginning he's panicked whenever a member of the science team is in a molecule of danger, because, well of course he is! They might die!
But slowly over the course of the series, he just becomes accustomed to the fact that the idea of death being permanent just isn't something that applies to anyone but himself, because he's seen the other members of the science team stay alive through impossible situations, or just straight up die and come back later.
The only exception is that one time Benrey died to a door and had to be a skeleton for a little while as his body regenerated.
dude i think about this like all the time. he just becomes so.... desensitized towards death. like even that one time benry gets shot or blown up or smth and "dies" and gordon starts cheering but then stops and says smth like "i dont even know why im so happy hes not dead" like. he knows theyre gonna come back. he doesnt give a shit about death anymore cuz for these guys its never permanent
