I was doing so well today too

Got up early enough to get dressed for Feiday the 13th, put in the extra effort and everything. Went to work, did my part, went to my MRI, had a bad time but was so brave about it, came home, had to go to the store to get pie supplies for tomorrow, took an hour putting my hair in curlers so it'll look right for regency tea tomorrow. Friends were lamenting how they couldn't go get birthday gift for regency tea because of circumstances. So I offered to go and get the thing since I could. Ended up walking around the entire store at least once trying to find the thing, eventually found it (all while feeling embarrassed for being outside the house with curlers mind you) got home started on pies, messed up meringue, messed it up again, dad tried to help and also messed it up (which felt a little like a slap to the face after our conversation about biting off more than you can chew) mom came and told us exactly what we were doing wrong and made all the excitement about pie day vanish as though it had never existed to begin with. My feet hurt, my hands hurt, I still have to wait far the pie to cool before it can go in the fridge. I haven't gone through all the dishes, haven't finished the sewing commission I've been working on because I get too tired every stinking night, my eyes hurt from crying.

And I was doing so good too *sigh*
