HE COULDN’T EXPLAIN IT, it were as if re-living (even for the smallest moment) the darkest part of his childhood had set off some domino effect and one that happened to be slowly progressing...only to get worse as each piece fell. The last time Charles had found himself...his mind...linked to another person’s without much of an idea on how to disconnect it, was when he had little control: a child coming into his powers and attempting to alleviate his mothers pain, only to attach himself to the step-brother that hated him.
It wasn’t the same but the AGONY...the abandonment...-GOD the pain. It screamed inside of the professors head reminding him every second of what he was going to lose...what he had lost if you wished to look at it that way.
He was brought away from it for the briefest of moments, “Yes...sorry, how are you doing?” A tired sounding voice but could anyone blame him. “Did you suffer the nightmares everyone else did?”
