do you think Adam found Jonah before he died. Do you think he watched him take his last breaths, do you think that, even if Jonah survived that night the MAD wouldve killed him eventually. Maybe Jonah was doomed to because of Adam, even if Adam was all Jonah had

Oh jonah was always doomed., thats what partially makes him such a fun character. Adam himself says he's got no friends, and implies he just hired jonah on to do crimes with him but the problem was jonah actually loves hanging with adam even when he's a complete dick. Jonah is ceaselessly silly and light hearted which is a complete foil to Adam's lack of strong emotions, whether cuz he's an alternate, emo, or autistic take your pick. All they have is each other. They spent countless months on the run together- even if adam did hate jonah, he would have trusted him with his life.

I think yeah, adam probably went after jonah after the argument at the house. And he was definitely way too late. Iirc Gabriel was the voice over the GPS that was tormenting jonah, and he made quiiick work of it. Adam would have found jonah on the side of the road hours later, blinkers on the car still flashing, his skin covered in a layer of dew. He would have found him cold, pale, lifeless, he would see he died scared and alone.

And he would be furious at 6 and preacher luring him into the basement and furious at himself for going. vengeful against alternates and vengeful against himself.

I think he would take the time to carry jonah somewhere nice.

Its the least he could do.

To others, adam wants to come across a certain way. Rough, cold, strong. But when no one's looking? I think he's soft, and broken, and in so much pain he doesn't know how to express. Alternates weren't made to feel, so maybe he has no literal outlet for his suffering. The only was out is up, but can you even kill an alternate? Even the heaven he was taught to believe in wouldn't welcome him in. He wouldn't sit beside jonah in a land of milk and honey, because he didn't have a soul to earn retribution. In whatever way, he was lesser than jonah, lesser than any one else, because he wasn't human.

Anyway. Yapped too long. But i just adore. Adore adam and jonahs character and story dynamic. Its so rich and raw.
