Our ‘’Ordinary’’ World

Prologue 1

‘’This world is divided into two,  Humans and creatures. Humans are simple beings, driven by their passions and desires, each person has something they strive for, a wish, a want.’’

A soft voice rings through the quiet forest, the moon high up in the sky giving traces of light upon a small dirt path.

‘’Creatures, on the other hand, are more unique, every species is different in it’s own way. One might call it magical, to witness such beings with their own eyes, though others would say that they’re not much different than humans in certain ways.’’

Footsteps accompany the voice, a man walking along the path, unaware of the eyes following him from the darkness of the treeline.

‘’However, one must not get too close, for they are not what they seem. They slid in through the cracks and crept into the human society, making their home among us. Not to be fooled, they are still highly dangerous and manipulative. They will take any chance to cause harm to those weaker than them, making lives of many a living nightmare.’’

A breeze flows by, extinguishing the candlelight and thus leaving the man in complete 

Darkness. Sensing a presence near him and turning to check, he is met with a pair of eyes.

‘’Getting the creatures away from humans once again should be a priority in the world, they shouldn’t be mingling, else more catastrophes will happen and more lives will be ruined.’’

A woman stands to the side of the path, eyes locked onto the creature feasting.The way it has no remorse or thought about it’s actions. A small figure stands behind the woman, watching her.

Suddenly,the thing raises it’s bloody head, locking it’s gaze upon the poor soul who stumbled upon it, a wicked grin shows off it’s sharp teeth. A chuckle like noise escapes it’s throat as the woman backs up. Deep down she knows what that means.

A promise.
