What if...

Thought I'd start posting portions from fics that I either completely removed or changed.

The first one is gonna be for "i drafted a list and she didn’t exist (‘cause he did)" (which I think y'all should go read).

If you haven't read my fic, note that this will, obviously, be a spoiler. So read that one first. (◕‿↼) 

The +1 was supposed to be a proposal only, not their wedding day. But I realized it was getting longer than I wanted and I knew it would've only gotten longer. So I edited it out and changed it to what you just read.

Here's what I had before changing it.

"Alex checks the ring box one more time, making sure it’s in his pocket. He wants everything to be perfect because Henry deserves nothing less. His boyfriend—soon to be fiancé—has been through a lot and Alex wants to make sure this proposal is going to be swoon-worthy.

The ring he picked is quite dainty, not something most people would choose for a man. But when he saw it online, he knew it would be perfect for Henry. He had the jeweler replace the gold band with rhodium, which admittedly increased the price. But the metal is slim and sturdy, and he knows this is something Henry will enjoy wearing. The thinness of the metal ensures that it will not get in the way of everyday tasks. The three diamonds forming Orion’s belt are small and understated, which he knows Henry will prefer. And, Jesus’ tits, he even has Catherine’s, and more reluctantly, the Queen’s, approval to marry him.

He still feels nervous as fuck, though.

It’s a popular joke among their family and friends that when one of them proposes, it’s likely going to be at the Lakehouse. It’s private, the kind that’s far from civilization, and they’re comfortable there. But Alex wants to end their chapter as boyfriends, and begin their chapter as future husbands, where it all truly started. Hence their trip to Rio.

The only people who know he has a ring are Catherine and (ugh!) Mary and that’s only because he needed their permission. He doesn’t know he managed to hide it from June and Nora but he did.

They’re renting a villa for an entire week, which Alex acknowledges is excessive. But he also understands they need privacy and a place where the PPOs can be close by. Shaan, ever efficient, arranged everything for them."

Thanks to @thethistlegirl for the idea, I had much fun altering the text once I took the gifs. Like she would say "YOU WENT THE EXTRA MILE AND MADE GIFS AND I STILL SCREAM".

Rather like Mav himself Tom set out to do a thing and succeeded and whether people recognize that or not doesn't seem to matter to him, it's that he’s doing what he loves, where he belongs, that counts... And I think that's beautiful and I feel like that is what matters the most in the end.

Film: 2 Days in Paris (2007)

I was looking through some of the new movie files I got to check for quality and I was surprised that Daniel was only in this film for like 4 minutes. Why he's third in the cast list is beyond me. So if you don't feel like watching the whole movie like I didn't, here's just the scene with Daniel in it because it was kinda funny!

EDIT: As a person with auditory processing issues myself, I felt the need to go back and add CC to this scene. I'll try to do so with future posts as well.

I edited out all the pet names and hints of a ship between Adam and Blake. Literally, nothing changed for this confrontation when you remove their hinted relationship, lol.

Remember how "Sporty" is on the list for Alex's dream girl (boy) in “i drafted a list and she didn’t exist (‘cause he did)” Well. It wasn't supposed to be the romantic long-ish part that I wrote. xD

Zootopia/Zootropolis jumbo pop scene

Am I mad or did the UK version edit the scene in the beginning with the ice cream parlour to include less of a racial prejudice analogy than the original version? It still draws one because everything about it - even the setting - is set up to make the message clear but the scene seemed different to the dozen or two times I’ve watched it as Zootopia.

It’s so important to the film’s plot and message so I’ll be really disappointed if I remember correctly.

Anyone know if it is and why they would cut it down?
