Look, I think it's fine to like Garp as a character. I even think the contrast between his love for his family and his sense of justice vs what he actually does with his power and influence is really interesting, story-wise
However.
You have to at least acknowledge that, now that we know why Rocks and Roger are there, and after a whole chapter very explicitly showing all the horrible things these Celestial Dragons are doing (which he canonically knows about), the fact that he shows up to ostensibly protect the marines that were protecting these same Celestial Dragons is... how can I put it...
