every other school is a private school/charter school with tuition and scholarships and everything

and i think that makes a lot of things about hexside a lot more believable

you know, back when the episode aired and we got information about the boiling isles school system ex/some schools require tuition whereas hexside doesn’t

okay, and this is a hot take, but that’s a child?

a timeless god-child born of the stars with the power to move celestial bodies with no effort, yes. but can we say that even with all the time they’ve been alive, the collector has aged? i don’t think so. he still has the decision-making skills, moral development, and attention span of a child. he’s in the preoperational thought stage. he was genuinely confused and didn’t understand why the emperor would lie to them. he is only *just starting* to grasp the fact that people can say one thing and then do another. a pinky swear is still sacred. the collector doesn’t understand how much damage they can cause just by playing. they don’t understand that it isn’t just a game.

kids don’t understand the finality of death until they’re in their teens and sometimes it even takes a little longer. they don’t know that death means not coming back. do you think the collector understood that helping belos with the draining spell meant killing everyone? do you think they understood that killing everyone meant they wouldn’t pop back up ready to play a new game as soon as he was free? i really don’t think so.
