This is a pretty clear call back to when Zoro suggested they kidnap Vivi, but I think my favorite thing about this panel is the return of the absolute best Chopper face

Amazon Lily made this bit if wordplay pretty famous, but for those who don’t know, in Japanese “golden balls” are a euphemism for testicles in the same way “family jewels” are in English. 

So depending on how you want to look at it, you could say this whole fight is basically a the setup for a giant dick joke.

Don’t know if it’s a coincidence of not, but they’re talking about how lucky Luffy is right as he’s passing by a place called the Lucky Saloon

Really like the placement of Chopper and this Oda box in comparison to Dr. Kureha. They’re at the bottom of the page, out of the way and almost inconsequential compared to Dr. Kureha’s larger than life persona. Chopper isn’t even introduced at his own person; he’s Dr. Kureha’s reindeer.

At the same time, the addition of the word beloved hints at him being something more than just her pet, and in retrospect is actually quite touching.

I reiterate, Vivi was invited to Miss Monday and Mr. 9′s wedding, gave them money for their honeymoon from her own personal funds, and is now the godmother to their child. You cannot convince me otherwise.

Crocodile isn’t the sort of guy to keep pretty flowers in his office, but Robin certainly is, making this not only a nice foreshadowing of Crocodile’s power but also extremely rude

Just a reminder that the 4Kids! dub changed Laboon into an iceberg. That made whale noises.
