So, like, I got back on Tinder recently and, um, I matched with a corps director.
What is my life???? I’m gonna sleep on it.

Photo 1: Our vehicles parked in the lot at Pioland while we housed there with Pioneer Drum and Bugle Corps earlier in July!

Last Sunday the Blue Saints had a rehearsal weekend, as well as their first parade of the season in Welland, Ontario. It was an exciting start to our tour season! We’ll be in Ontario for training, and Illinois for parades by the end of next week. Don’t be afraid to approach us if you see us! As for our membership, our drumline, and guard are full! We have one more spot in pit, and a few brass spots left. We take late comers, so if we’re passing through your area and you want to march, speak to someone!
Big news for the Big Blue! We have recently acquired a full field of Astro Turf! It has been a long standing plan of ours to build our own outdoor field. Our hometown does not supply us with a suitable field, so we’ve been relying on grass fields.
The thing is, in Northern Ontario, the snow is barely gone by April, meaning we cannot get to outdoor drill until May. This field would allow us to march 2-3 camps earlier, increasing our progress rate and ability to entertain. We are currently looking for a plot of land in the Greater Sudbury Area to lay our field, which we will rent out in order to maintain a financial security year after year.
This would be an amazing step in our history, but we need support in our purchasing of land. Our Gofundme link will be posted here for anyone who is able to, or knows someone able to, support the Blue Saints Drum and Bugle Corps in our next big milestone.

This past weekend, the Blue Saints competed in the Canadian Drumline Association in Toronto, Ontario. We played well and managed to leave with a Championship ranking in our class. Our staff is very proud of our drumline!
As pictured above:
Photo 1 - One of our drum majors, Michelle (2nd bass), and Drum Captain Yousif (lead snare accepting our awards Photo 2 - Our drum major sitting at one of our merchandise booths after our performance while waiting for the results of the day Photo 3 - Our snare line with our drumline caption head Photo 4-6 - Some group photos after awards ceremony Photo 7 - A photographer wanted a group shot while we were rehearsing outside earlier in the day. Turned out nicely! Our drumline is still looking for a 4th snare and a 5th bass if anyone wants to march in DCI!
The Blue Saints are a DCI Open Class drum and bugle corps based in Sudbury, Ontario Canada and have a very distinguished history within the Drum Corps community. I have been offered a spot with them and really want to go, so if you can please donate. :)
Hey followers! This is the third fundraiser we are posting for tour fees.
Lexi is a new member who lives all the way in Arizona! She has a lot of travel to do to get onto our tour circuit and she’s in high school so she could use some help with tour fees. She is trying to raise 2000 dollars to cover our tour fees and her travel expenses. Please give what/if you can to help her, and take a look at our other two fundraiser posts. Thanks everyone!
here we go, yo!
well, the camp season has officially ended... so, i'm gonna start my first drum corps log --- not that i'll ever really have time to update it on tour, unless there's wifi, then that's a different story.
this post is going to be my boring introductory one... so... here we go (yo!).
this summer, i will be marching mellophone with 7th Regiment from New London CT. I'm quite excited because we they have managed to double their brassline from last year, therefore roughly double every other section in the corps.
a friend told me it may be the first in corps history (7th) to need a third bus... HOW INSANE IS THAT?! this is going to be a big year for us -- literally.
anyways. from this point out, it's gonna look like a log of what's going on with me and the corps in mediums of writing, photos and videos! so, follow my ride this summer and experience what i get to do everyday under the hot sun from behind your computer screens! i am so excited :D

Totally asking if I can get mellophone lessons after marching season! If I can learn to play it decently, I could actually try out for a open class corps next year! Texas has a ton!!!
