Ego Vs Intuition
Please note: This post is about the excess of ego. While having an ego is helpful, having too much of an ego is harmful as well as having no ego. The ego is the sense of self and it's worth, in excess this can come off as narcissism or an inflated sense of self.
Ego in short is a person's self esteem or self importance, this can cause many people to react in different ways. Egoism often affects greed and attachments, when these things are threatened it often causes a person to react negatively. The problem with the ego is that it can come off as narcissism or toxicity. Ego isn't inherently bad, in small doses or concentrations ego can be quite helpful, especially when someone is trying to take advantage or undermind another. On the other hand, when a person lives fully in ego they can become more toxic to the ones around them. They will begin to see everything around them as an extension of themselves. Rejection is a common trigger for people who live in ego, when someone is rejected or something they want is denied, they tend react as if themselves has been rejected. For example: If Sally asks her friend Lisa if John to likes her and Lisa says no, Sally will take that personally and would most likely take her anger out on Lisa and would continue to believe that John likes her. An even better example is Tarot Smeraldo. "One of the biggest reasons why ego is your enemy is that it keeps you out of touch with reality. Your ego is what prevents you from hearing critical but necessary feedback from others. Ego makes you overestimate your own abilities and worth, and under-estimate the effort and skill required to achieve your goals."
Conversely, intuition is the bridge between consciousness and subconsciousness, the ability to know something without reason, an inner knowing that is never wrong. The issue with intuition and ego is the fact that they often sound the same, you have to ask yourself "Am I hearing what I want to hear or what I need to hear?" in order to build your connection with your intuition. Intuition is often referred to as a way our spiritual team gives us guidance. When you're looking for something and you have the need to look in a specific place and you find what you're looking for there, that is intuition and that is your guides helping you with what you need. Intuition is meant to guide and help you, it will never tell you what you want hear therefore it may be hard to hear but it is needed for growth and acceptance meanwhile, ego will always come from a place of what you want rather than need, sometimes it can be a "need" but in a different sense. You can need water to live, you can also "need" carbonated water to live, but only one is something that is actually good for you. "Intuition or the ‘gut feeling’ is the ability to gain immediate understanding without the agency of conscious reasoning. Intuitive understanding bypasses the logical arm of the mind-brain network."
The reason for me making this post is for the simple fact that learning the difference between ego and intuition is hard, and it takes time to fully develop ones intuition. The ego is something that can hold a person back on their spiritual journey, and we are not on this journey alone. We are a part of a collective, we are all connected in intricate ways, if you are holding yourself back you can hold back the others who are meant to be in your life for certain stages. Though, after a while they will be able to move on, why would you want to make your soul family wait and potentially have to leave you behind? Intuition is something that you work on throughout your entire life, it is something that you can master but never stop learning, and it gets easier along the way. In order to build your intuition you have to put your full trust and faith within spirit and the universe to never guide you astray, you have to release your earthly bounds. "The Thought Chakra is located at the crown of the head. It deals with pure cosmic energy, and is blocked by earthly attachment. Meditate on what attaches you to this world. Now, let all of those attachments go. Let them flow down the river, forgotten. Learn to let go, or you cannot let the pure cosmic energy flow in from the universe." Letting go does not mean to not love or to feel connected, it means to release the need for control over situations allowing the energy to flow as freely as it is supposed to. A lot of people become hung up over this part as they fear that if they let go of the things they care for that they'll disappear or leave them, when in reality what is meant for you will never leave you and what does leave you was never yours. "The greatest illusion of this world is the illusion of separation. Things you think are separate and different are actually one and the same. We are all one people, but we live as if divided." In order to fully live as your spiritual self with the higher knowledge of your spiritual team and your higher self we must let go what do not serve us. Opening your chakras and your channels is one way to help do so. One thing that helped me the most in my childhood was the episode "The Guru" from Avatar: The Last Airbender, and the words of guru Pathik still rings true to this day. I urge everyone to heal and release, it takes time, it is intense, and sometimes it brings the hurt back all over again, but through healing you can move on and make way for new. I will be posting some links to help build intuition and to bring in an ego death, I will also be posting a transcript of the things guru Pathik said.
"Chakras are pools of spiraling energy in our bodies. There are seven chakras that go up the body. Each pool of energy has a purpose, and can be blocked by a specific kind of emotional mark. Be warned: opening the chakras is an intense experience, and once you begin this process, you can not stop until all seven are open.
The first chakra is the Earth chakra, located at the base of the spine. It deals with survival, and is blocked by fear.
What are you most afraid of? Let your fears become clear to you. You are concerned about your survival, but you must surrender those fears. Let your fears flow down the creek.
Next is the Water chakra. This chakra deals with pleasure and is blocked by guilt.
Look at all the guilt that burdens you so. What do you blame yourself for? Now accept the reality that these things happened. But do not let them cloud and poison your energy. If you are to be a positive influence on the world, you need to forgive yourself.
Third is the Fire chakra, located in the stomach. This chakra deals with willpower, and is blocked by shame.
What are you ashamed of? What are your biggest disappointments in yourself? You will never find balance if you deny this part of your life.
The fourth chakra is located in the Heart. It deals with love and is blocked by grief.
Lay all your grief out in front of you. Love is a form of energy, and it swirls all around us. A love of your lost ones has not left this world, it is still inside of your heart; and it is reborn in a form of new love. Let it flow through you.
The fifth in the chain is the Sound chakra, located in the throat. It deals with the truth, and is blocked by lies, the ones we tell ourselves.
You can not lie about your own nature. You must accept yourself as you are.
The sixth pool of energy is the Light chakra, located in the center of the forehead. It deals with insight, and is blocked by illusion.
The greatest illusion of this world is the illusion of separation. Things you think are separate and different are actually one and the same. We are all one people, but we live as if divided. We are all connected, and everything is connected. Even the separation of the four elements is an illusion. If you open your mind, you will see that all the elements are one; four parts of the same whole. Even metal is just a part of earth that has been purified and refined.
The final chakra is Thought chakra and is located at the crown of the head. It deals with pure cosmic energy and is blocked by earthly attachment.
Once you open this chakra, you will be able to go in the state of mind where you will have complete control and awareness of all your actions. Meditate on what attaches you to this world. Now, let all of those attachments go, let them flow down the river; forgotten. You must learn to let go, otherwise you won’t be able to let the pure cosmic energy flow in from the Universe."

6th CHAKRA. Represents: The sixth chakra represents intuition, which has many aspects. Being intuitive as we discussed above means having a knowing about something; this can also include being psychic, clairvoyant, clairaudient, or a medium. It also means being highly creative.

Opening your chakras is an entirely different section of spirituality and is something that must be researched to the fullest degree, it is intense and if done wrong can cause pain and the chakra to be blocked. It is important that you do your research and speak to professionals about these issues.
