Final fix on Operator and Drifter Mirza. I added the most important design detail I use: the three scruffly chin hairs that Drifter Mirza has grown.

Yes, Mirza is canonically naturally teal-haired. According to the photo of their parents from Duviri. The most pointless thing to be made canon ever lmao.

A few fun little nuggets:

Drifter has a jawline! And has grown into their ears.

They both usually wear those half rim glasses but Drifter also has a pair of those butterfly glasses lmao.

Operator has fully shaved sides and a longer mohawk. Drifter has shorter hair in general and also a fade.

Kbitty face.

They like hanging out together but it hurts because they remind each other of their twin. I'm not sure if Op's twin died on the Zariman or is stuck in stasis on Lua still or even if they were in a stasis pod stolen by an enemy faction (like the ones you have to defend and reclaim in Defense missions). Drifter's was killed onboard the Zariman though.

1. If your OC has enhancements, or magical powers, how dependent are they on them?

Operator Mirza is pretty heavily dependent on their Void powers, they’re a bit frail outside of their frame and had some bad times adjusting to being Awake again after so long in stasis on Lua. It still severely messes with them. Drifter Mirza is less dependent on their Void powers, mostly because they’re a bit heartier physically, and used to direct combat. They do still tend to use their stealth abilities to avoid fights pretty well.

1a. How do their enhancements or powers affect their day to day life? Are there any downsides to them that makes it harder to do certain things?

Like I said, for operator Mirza, their powers give them a lot of trouble telling the difference between asleep, Asleep, awake, and Awake (if you understand what those differences are) so they’re constantly hovering on the edge of sleep deprivation psychosis which Does Not Help with those issues. They spend almost all of their time in Transference, because the dissociation is so bad. Drifter Mirza is honestly pretty well put together comparatively. They have their problems but most aren’t a result of their Void powers.

5. What rumours about your OC precede them? Are they true/false/half-truths? Who started them?

I feel like, as with all proper Tenno, operator Mirza has a real reputation for being a terrifying god-beast made of metal and flesh, especially brought on by the fact that they rarely are out of their frames and thus don’t really talk much to those outside of their groups (usually Deimos and/or Lyra, and maybe temp allies who are helping or running the operations). Though allies find it hard to be scared of someone who is so defensive of their Taxon or who routinely praises their dog for tearing open lockers or who refers to energy canisters on Excavation missions as ‘soup’ or who cackles while casting ‘Piss Bubble’ (Mag 2 with a specific color palette equipped). They also have a reputation, mostly amongst those they do missions alongside, for having really eye-searing energy effects when they cast their Warframe or Void abilities. This one is justified. With drifter Mirza I feel like this probably depends on where they are. In Duviri, they probably have some god-like reputation since they are kind of a match for Dominus Thrax now, but they are also known for being extremely hard to find even when they're in Duviri. In 1999 they are a bit more subtle and prefer to go unnoticed, but probably have a reputation among Hollvania refugees for being scarce around large amounts of people, kind of shy, and nice to kids.

We're doing a challenge run through the Warframe storyline in a Discord server that Rhys and I are in, so here's some fun updated Mirza + Auva lore. I'll be playing Auva on the secondary account I've made.

Notes:

Mirza and Auva are twins. Mirza is older by only a few minutes.

In the operator timeline, both are alive they are just separated and searching for each other.

In the drifter timelines, each watched the other die on their versions of the Zariman and thus only one is alive per their individual timelines.

They are also well aware of eternalism's implications regarding this and are each terrified of running into each other in their own way.

Mirza and Auva

OPERATORS

Physically: 

Operator Mirza (AMAB nb; they/them) is a stringbean. They have little to no muscle, are pale as hell, and have deep under-eye bags and an almost permanent happy-drowsy facial expression. They keep their hair short because it’s less of a hassle, and they aren’t telling anyone if the magenta is a dye or not (it is). Operator Auva (trans woman, she/her) is also skinny, but a lot of it is lithe muscle. She has piercing eyes and smiles more rarely. She definitely has resting-bitch-face. She keeps her hair long and doesn’t dye it (often). She loves bright makeup.

Mentally/Emotionally:

Operator Mirza does not sleep. They can’t stand the feeling of it after so long in stasis. They tend to anxiety and panic attacks when they feel themself slipping into unconsciousness and try to stay awake as long as possible with the help, often times, of exceedingly large amounts of caffeine. As a result they are often out of it and/or half-asleep; and they have trouble telling the difference between awake, sleep, transference, etc. They don’t like silence because they tend to drift off without external stimuli, so they listen to music, radio shows, watch serials, podcasts, etc. They turn to jokes and sarcasm to cope with their own trauma, but to those they care about they are eternally loyal and will spring to their defense at a moment’s notice. Operator Auva is tough, strong, and opinionated. She’s dealt with the horrors she’d lived through by becoming a protector, a knight in shining armor for those she cares about. She prefers stealthy work, but is not above shock and awe to destroy her enemies and claim victory. She is brutally loyal to whomever is running the missions she’s on, and absolutely vicious to any that get in her way. She’s got a wicked sense of humor, dark and sarcastic, but also surprisingly absurd in some instances.

Notes:

Mirza obsesses over Defense and Survival missions, particularly those where cryopods and data are being stolen because they were separated from Auva during the Collapse and when they finally awoke from the Long Dream they vowed to find her again.

Likewise, Auva pours over Spy missions hunting for some clue as to Mirza’s whereabouts.

Mirza mains Mag, while Auva mains Loki.

DRIFTERS

Physically: 

Drifter Mirza (AMAB nb; they/them) is not bulky but is not skinny either. Life in Duviri has honed them a bit more into a capable fighter outside of a Warframe, though their muscle is hidden under a bit of roundness that never wore off their frame. They aren’t particularly tall, having grown very little past their teenage growth spurts. Like their operator form, they are pale as hell, and have deep under-eye bags and an almost permanent happy-drowsy facial expression. They keep their hair short because it’s less of a hassle, and they aren’t telling anyone if the magenta is a dye or not (it is) Drifter Auva (trans woman, she/her) is strong and decently muscular. She is, unfortunately, also a bit on the shorter side. She grows her hair out as long as possible, only cutting it when it gets really frizzy and stringy at the ends. Once she gets into 1999, she does dye her hair more often than operator Auva, and loves bright makeup just as much.

Mentally/Emotionally:

Drifter Mirza has nightmares, haunted by the death of their twin right before their eyes, by their own death numerous times at the hands of the soldiers of Dominus Thrax, by the deaths of the Hex while they're stuck unable to help. They barely sleep and when they do, they often awake in a panic unless they have their kubrow, Shenzi, nearby. They do still sleep more than operator Mirza. They tend to be very chill and lazy in demeanor, overall seeming to be a kind of sleepy-friendly with an occasional unexpected bite of sarcasm. The surefire way to make them shake their usual demeanor is to give horrific things a pass (ie: make light of Duviri, Amir’s whole thing with cephalons, Kaya’s obsession with the future being super amazing while giving the atrocities still present kind of a brush aside, and how the other protoframes were out here talking about their trauma to the new arrivals). Mirza is also a lot more awake during Transference, acting almost like a kind of energy vampire and drawing energy from the frames they pilot (the protoframes would probably notice this). As they get more awake, they can become noticeably more tactical and vicious depending on the situation. Still, they don't shy away from goofing off on a mission when they have the space to, issuing themself or the others with them silly little challenges or tests of skill. Drifter Auva has nightmares, but dreams are the only time she can see her lost twin again. She has a healthier relationship with sleep than any variant of Mirza does, but that’s not saying much since she still sleeps like a prey animal when there’s a predator around: curled up and hidden and in shorter bursts at a time, ready to run and fight and hide again when she wakes. But when she’s awake, Auva is a vicious and efficient fighter. If only she’d acted quicker on the Zariman…She has more difficulty using Transference with the protoframes, their more intact minds causing conflict with her usually very powerful command of a frame.

Notes: 

Drifter Mirza mains Temple, Drifter Auva mains ??? Loki probably??? Though I could see her with Voruna or Khora.

Drifter Mirza is in a polycule with Aoi, Amir, and Flare. They worked out a lot of issues with Aoi’s help, and then in turn fell for Amir and Flare (once they showed up).

Drifter Auva is dating Lettie.
