Luffy’s heart broke and leaped in joy at the same time. Here he was, finally seeing his big brother after trying to save, but on the other hand, he was in marine custody, about to be executed. He had mixed feelings about that, but who wouldn’t? He inwardly cringed at the sight of his worried face. He loved Ace and didn’t like worrying him, but what else could he do?
As he beat some marines up, he couldn’t help but feel happy, that when he finally rescued his brother, they would catch up, again, like they did in Alabasta. He knew that his brother wouldn’t die, he was Ace, he couldn’t die, he just couldn’t. But even though he knew that his brother was only saying those things so he would leave, he couldn’t help but feel hurt at his words, but still, this was about Ace, he wouldn’t let his brother stop him.
As he got closer and closer to the execution platform, he could feel his body begin to wane. It was hard for him, but he had to keep going. He had to save Ace, that was the only important thing right now, nothing else mattered. He would gladly give his life to save him, he was his big brother, the only big brother he had left. He didn’t want him to die like Sabo did, because then he’d be all alone, he would have no one. It was selfish, he knew that, but he didn’t care. Ace meant everything to him, somewhere in the back of his mind, he knew he still had his nakama, but still…this was Ace! At this moment, at this point in time, he didn’t care about anything, but his brother. If Ace died, then he would die with him!
Luffy smiled in happiness when he finally got his brother free. He was free! He finally rescued Ace! He couldn’t describe how elated he felt to save him! It was amazing, the joy he felt and the joy he saw on Ace’s face as they fought alongside each other. Everything was going according to plan… or at least it was. Luffy’s heart quivered as he got a bad feeling. It was happening so quickly, one minute, they were running away and the next, Ace was talking to that magma guy. Why?! As he tried to run over to his side, his eyes widened when he saw Ace’s vivre card fall and move towards. He had to get it back! But when he tried, his body gave out and he fell on his knees. The next few minutes were a blur to him, but the next thing he knew, Ace had a fist going through his chest.
He felt numb, so, so numb. It was like the world froze over, at least to him. His brother, he was dying! It was all so, so surreal that he couldn’t believe it! Ace, he couldn’t die! He made a promise to him! And…and this was all his fault! He wasn’t strong enough, he was weak and he let his brother die. As his tears fell freely, he knew what was going to happen, but he didn’t want to admit it, he didn’t want it to be real! He wished that he was the one dying, he wished it more than anything. But as it was, he knew it was an impossible wish and that had made him even more depressed. He was losing him, he was losing the only person he loved more than anything in the world, even meat. And as Ace took his last breath, Luffy’s body shut down. All he could see and feel was darkness and for once, he welcomed it with open arms, hoping that the next time he woke, Ace would either still be alive or that he joined both his brothers in the afterlife.

//ughhh OTZ I read you wanted a Naruto and Sasu-GAY fanfic but honestly, I haven't't been in the fandom for sooo long I didn't think it would be any good ;A;
The skeleton bony fingers strummed his guitar lightly. Days been passing by so fast. He didn’t realize it was the holidays until he was reminded by his manager this morning to quickly wrap up a Christmas song that will bring the fans spirits up for the holiday. Brook had no choice, but to obey. After all, this was his fans that they were talking about.
He could hear their loud chanting from the back of the stage— If he had ears that is;
“Soul King! Soul King! Soul King!"
His stage name was shouted loudly— After performing for this long, he knew it was an indication to say that it was time for him to start his performance.
He stood up with the light guitar over his shoulder. The manager had entered the back stage and was meant to inform the hummer that it was time, but Brook stopped him before he could say anything.
Luffy-san, everyone… Let me dedicate this song to you. Those were his last thoughts before he stepped onto the stage to perform his new single; Vivant et agréable.
Sunglasses
Dark eyes glanced from his work over to Vega Punk’s blueprint repeatively. The cyborg has been working daily everyday to finish his new body implantments. Right now, he was working on the laser. Franky was sure that once he return back to Luffy and the others, they’ll be impressed with his new features.
He snapped out of his thoughts when he heard the door creek open. It was no other than Kitton and his old man along with their dog, Taroimo. The kid was holding a small box in his hands while gramps was holding two bottles of cola.
"Ah! You’re awake," Kitton said with a small smile. Usually whenever he visits, Franky was in bed, dead asleep. The three knows about his work, so they try not to bother him too much, but today was special.
"Oh, it’s you guys!" The cyborg responded, pushing his goggles up.
"Have you been doing well?" Asked the old man. Knowing the fact that Franky sleeps during the day and awake at night worried the man. The robotic dog barked and wagged his tail, tongue sticking out as it was happy to see that Franky was alive and well.
"Yeah, I been doing super~!" Okay, perhaps that wasn’t exactly true. Honestly, he was dead tired and constantly think about his comrades. Franky worries about his crews health, how they’re doing, and the Sunny too. But, besides all that, he was doing fine.
"Great! We wouldn’t want you to be down on Christmas!" The boy exclaimed, grinning now before approaching the cyborg and handing him the small box that was wrapped with a blue ribbon. The old man set down the two bottles of cola next to Franky’s blanket that they had given to him.
"Christmas?" An eyebrow rose, but he accepted the gift nevertheless.
"You didn’t know? Have you been keeping updated with the dates?" Kitton inquired, head tilting to the right slightly. Ah, the calender. He skipped a couple of days… Weeks… Okay, two months.
"I was busy, so I didn’t have time," Franky spoked, scratching the back of his head.
"Well, we understand, but it is Christmas and we thought that we’d give you a gift. Come on, open it!" Kitton was excited to see how the other would react to his present. Franky looked down at the box. His thoughts wandered off for a second.
Christmas. He should be spending it with his comrades and the Thousand Sunny. Yet, he’s on this island, miles way from the others and his dream ship. If only he could see them… Just today…
He shook the thoughts away before focusing back on reality. His somewhat regular-sized fingers reached for the bow and pulled on it to let the tie unloose before unboxing his present.
Sunglasses.
It was similar to his last sunglasses, except the lenses were now in an upside down trapezoid shape. He wondered where the two had gotten it, but questioning it would just ruin the atmosphere.
"Thanks little bro, it’s super."
Alone
"Robin-neechan~!" An eccentric voice echoed through the corrider. The raven could hear the kid’s voice getting closer and closer. Robin leaned back, head turning towards Koala’s way.
"What is it, Instructor-san?" A fake, small smile was shown on the woman’s face.
"Here!" The girl handed Robin a plate of a piece of cake along with a metallic fork. "I saved some cake for you since you weren’t at the table."
Brown orbs were kept on the frosted cake for a bit before her delicate hand grabbed the fork and took a small section of the cake to taste it. As expected; It was nothing like Sanji’s cake. The cake here was actually a tad too sweet for her liking. She set down the plate on the stone railing before thanking the female.
"… Robin-neechan," Koala started, "Why didn’t you come to dinner? We were having a party! You know we don’t have a lot of parties here." Robin was quiet, her eyes were more focused on the slow, falling snow.
"I thought… Maybe, it was better to spend Christmas with my crew," She responded with a not-so-obvious, desolated smile. It was obvious how lonely Nico Robin was for the past few months. She understands why Luffy had decided on something like that, but being away from the ones she loved had really affected her a lot. She tries not to show it, of course, but whenever the archaeologist is alone, she shuts her eyes and imagine herself back at the Sunny, listening to the violin and her captain’s along with the sniper and reindeer soft snores. The pleasant aroma coming from the kitchen as a bonus and the sound of the metal clanking from the crow’s nest made it all too real until she had to snap herself out of her virtual world and get back to training.
The brunette frowned before leaning against the railing herself.
"You should try enjoying yourself in the Revolutionaries sometime. We’re not bad people.." Koala mumbled. Well, of course they weren’t. Robin was aware of that already. She could trust them, but she just chose not to— For now. Perhaps in the future that’ll change.
"I know," was all the archaeologist responded with.
The silence stayed for a couple of minutes before the instructor spoke again.
"The day is ending, Robin-neechan. I’ll head to bed now. Good night." Robin nodded and didn’t bother to watch the brunette leave. Her brown eyes were still stuck on the now steadily, falling snow.
The archaelogist wished that she could have fun with the Revolutionaries. She wished that it was that easy to trust them; Like how Luffy can just easily trust anyone, but that wasn’t her. She found ease after officially joining the Straw Hats, but now that she was separated from them, it felt just like how it did when Saul had died. Loneliness crept in. Her arms wrapped around herself as she tilted her head slightly upwards to look at the cloudy sky.
I miss them.
Birthday
Snow was piling up quite quickly on this island. The feeling of the somewhat cold touch gave him nostalgia from his home island. But, not as nostalgic as December 24th.
It was the tiny reindeer’s birthday yesterday. On Christmas Eve. He spent it with the humans and the birds of course. They were the only one around anyways. Chopper did have fun at the party they had thrown him, but it didn’t change how isolated he felt inside. How wretched he felt because he wasn’t able to celebrate it with his comrades.
The doctor watched the birds and humans from all the way at the top of the tree. It was at a terrifying height, but considering how lonely he felt, he couldn’t bring himself to care.
Chopper bit his lower lip and sniffled before tears started rolling from his eyes.
"Nng…. Luffy… Everyone…" A quiet sob left his mouth as he buried himself into his tiny arms.
To think that he’d be spending Christmas without his comrades as well. This was the worst.
Smoke
He leaned against the boulder that was on the beach side. A chance to relax… Finally. The cook let out a puff of smoke, letting it last a bit longer than it should had before placing the cigarette between his teeth again and began to chew on it lightly.
Although it was Christmas, the snow was rather light that the faint sunshine would melt it before it could even pile up. That sucks. His hometown was in the North Blue, yet, he was the one struck with unluckiness and had to deal with the shitty lighter snow. But, Sanji wasn’t frustrated because of that. What he was frustrated on was that he wasn’t able to cook for his comrades. Last Christmas, by Captain’s orders, the curly brow had cooked a whole banquet for the crew. It was nice to see everyone satisfied with his cooking, but in this hell, Sanji hasn’t cook for anyone yet. Not that they’d enjoy his damn cooking anyways. They had their shitty newkama recipes after all. He could care less though. It wasn’t the okamas that the cook wanted to satisfy. His special cooking was only for his crew mates and ladies. Only would he allow them to be the one to taste his delicious food.
Unfortunately for him, he couldn’t do that now. Sanji still had to survive a couple of months before he could return to his beloved Nami-san and Robi— Well, his comrades.
I wonder what they’re eating for dinner right now…
Brave
Usopp was breathing heavily as he had just ran around the island for the 20th time today. Finally deciding to take a rest, he plopped himself down against a tree, sweat dripping down from his forehead. Though it was chilly and the snow was falling pretty heavily, the sniper didn’t bother moving. He couldn’t move a muscle even if he tried. The runnning did take a lot of stamina from him after all.
Sunny, captain, comrades, braver.
Nothing else was on his mind besides those four. He missed his crew, he missed the mini Merry, he missed the Thousand Sunny, and he wanted to become braver so instead of acting useless like how he always does, Usopp could become stronger and help his friends. He could try and protect everyone and make sure that event back on Sabaody will never happen again. Christmas was nowhere on his mind as he would much rather celebrate the holiday with his family around.
After all that running, his eyes started to grow heavy. Crap, he was getting tired and sleepy. It was expected, but with his current state, there’s no way he could get back to Hercules before collapsing.
Guess resting here in the cold and snow is the only choice he has.
Tangerines
The brunette bit softly into the ripe tangerine and made sure not to let any juice trail down her lips.
Even in the sky, snow still landed on the clouds. But they were to only disperse a couple of minutes later.
Shame. The snow would really make her night. Sanji-kun’s tangerine drink would be nice too. Nami sighed and finished up the rest of the tangerine before throwing the peels out. Once she had cleaned up, she took a look at the clock just to see how much longer before Christmas ends.
11:49 P.M.
Not too long it seems. The navigator’s head turned back to the shimmering moon and hoped that she was not the only one who wished she was back at the Thousand Sunny and celebrating the Holiday with her comrades.
Flake
Zoro couldn’t sleep.
By now, that wasn’t surprising anymore. Each night passed and he spent most of the times he should be asleep by worrying about his crew mates. The swordsman knows that they were fine; That there was no point in worrying about them, but he couldn’t help it.
He sat up with a groan, muscles sore from his incessant training along with a weak headache. His eye averted to the window and descry a white flake. Narrowing his single eye to see if what he saw was correct, another slow movement of white fell from the sky.
Snow?
That was the first. How long has it been now since he had last seen snow? Actually, Zoro didn’t even know it could snow on this ominous island. But, his thoughts were more focused on his crew mates reaction to the weather. Did they have snow? Are they okay? Is Chopper feeling nostalgia? Are they okay? Is there a blizzard perhaps? Are they okay?
The question repeated in his mind, only to make the headache worse, but there was nothing he could do. It was his duty to make sure his crew mates were safe.
