In honor of @asiaweekny (Sept. 14 - 23), we’re sharing this work we framed for client Frederich Jahn. The painting is of Hung Wu, the 1st emperor of the Ming Dynasty. The artist is unknown, but the work was believed to be painted in the Chien Lung Period (1736-1795) - Ching Period (1796-1821). Former Bark designer Paul Jordan worked with the client to create this frame for the work: it's a variation on our Regent profile milled in mahogany, and finished with a hand painted casein. The work is glazed in Optium 4.5 mm. #BarkFrameworks #woodwork #framedesign #asiaweekny #optium #MingDynasty #ChuYuanChang #asianart #worksonpaper #framedbyBark #hungwu #nycartworld #artcollectors #artcollections (at New York, New York) https://www.instagram.com/p/CitC1bvr26f/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
