The Andromeda Galaxy - m31 If you follow me you know that m31, along with the Orion Nebula is one of my great nemesis. I never can seem to get it "right," and to get it better you "need" to do some sort of HDR composite or such. Since I am trying to learn Pixinsight, I decided to throw myself a curveball and attempt adding in Ha from data taken with and L-eXtreme filter with the data I took last year. Unfortunately, the data taken with the L-eXtreme was botched due to a floating piece of dust that moved from frame to frame. Regardless, I gave it a go! Thanks to a tutorial by Visible Dark, I had a direction to take. It's not perfect, it needs more and better Ha data, and I probably need to retake my L-Pro data, but for a first go, I'll take it. .
