I got my eye sight checked today.  Well.. I was there picking out new frames.  When they were like, oh you should get your prescription updated too for the new lens. M’okay.  To my horror, the optom was like..  Your prescription has changed (aka - your eye sight has gotten worse). My prescription had been pretty much stable the last 10 years of my life.  Then the optom goes, okay, now I want you to step outside and try your new lens. And you’ll see what the rest of the world actually see.

Had this moment of

FML. First thing that comes to mind is that I’m never going to be able to make eye contact with people normally again. Also, I never wanted to see all the flaws on my face that clearly in the mirror and now I get to.

Me: Ok and look straight ahead.

Patient: Ok *looks sideways*

Me: No look straight ahead...

Patient: *still looking sideways* I am.

Me: Just move your eyes to look straight forward

Patient: *still looking sideways* Yep.

Me: Ok.
