Hopes 783
So many DoflaLaw feelings after chapter 782...
Could Doffy protect Law from Trebol?? Trebol has really looked like a wickedness intensifyer in Doffy’s life in the last few chapters. Then Doffy could realize his madness (like Don Quijote) and stay alive... and cry and ask Cora-san and Homing for forgiveness...
Maybe we just love Doffy too much... (no regrets)

Heart obsession
In chapter 780 Doflamingo has finally voiced what we all had stated once Corazon's identity was revealed: Law's obsession with hearts. Doflamingo mentions the name of the crew (Heart Pirates) and Law's outfit in Dressrosa with the word "corazon" written at the back of his coat. Apart from that, we can also note other things such as Law's heart-shaped tattoos all over his body, the shape of the Ope Ope no Mi (although this is not under Law's control) and the ability to take people's hearts.
However, there is one thing that (as far as we know) has not yet been mentioned and it has to do with something that Law has already done twice: showing someone the middle finger. Although he has not been the only character in the series to do so (we also have Sanji at Sabaody after the time skip), as far as we can remember he is the only one who has flipped somebody off twice: Eustass Kid at the auctioning house in Sabaody and Doflamingo.
Why do we consider this important? Oda has clearly based Dressrosa on Spain as can be inferred from characters like Violet and Ucy, or the names of the executives and the Donquixote family, among other things. The important point in here is that the names of fingers in Spanish starting from the thumb are as follow: "pulgar", "índice", "corazón", "anular" and "meñique". So, yes, Law has the habit to show his "corazón" finger to people.
As a side comment, the action of flipping off is usually referred to in Spain as "hacer una peineta". A "peineta" is an ornamental comb worn by women in some Spanish regional costumes, such as, for example, flamencas.
We don't actually know if Oda has done any of these consciously, though it's obvious that he must know (or at least has some assistants who know) a great deal to be able to include the amount of intertextual instances one can find in his series. If this is deliberate, great; if not, this is such a beautiful coincidence.

One Piece women appreciation post
We have recently come across some posts regarding women and misogyny in One Piece. We could actually write a world of articles and posts regarding this topic, but we've chosen instead to write a very simple appreciation post for all those qualities that female characters show in One Piece that, for some reason or another, may go unnoticed.

Why Law is still alive
We all know Trafalgar D. Water Law will die like this...
We all also know that right now it is impossible because he hasn't avenged Cora-san.
Can't believe I've imagined Law dead...
