So my bf and I think that the Wishgiver is the customer service rep and the guy working the register at the witch-y shop, and i think for the wishes that do "go wrong" he gets an enjoyment for seeing these bad people suffer the consequences of their wants. Him suggesting he ask Nikki what she wants over the phone and in person, him suggesting Bear kill himself both times, him fucking around and "guessing what he was gonna ask for" over the phone, and him telling him "woaaahh dont come in here with that energy, bucko" in the shop, are all the proof I need.

Nothing causes rejection from the fandom as much as people who believe that they are obliged to teach others how they should treat this fandom: which character to love and which not, which characters should be a couple, and how much you should show your empathy for this or that character / event. Oh, and just try to say something else!!! They have already prepared a guillotine for you. Can't people be simpler about fandoms and the people in them? As a last resort, just leave them alone. It's not difficult. I have never been the first to get into conflict, but for some reason such clashes have already caught me twice in two different fandoms. They're alike bc they're men the fandom gets obsessed with and the whole fandom becomes saturated by content that's only about This One Guy and for people who don't like/are not as obsessed with This One Guy that gets really annoying really really quickly
