Y'all out there demonizing Ozpin for taking over Oscar are forgetting something....
Oscar literally could not handle that fight.
QROW could not handle that fight.
Hazel is dangerous, in a way that Ozpin knows and Oscar refused to acknowledge. It's great that he wanted to stand up for himself! But in this situation, he wasn't the only one in danger- as we saw. Qrow threw himself into the fight to protect him and got WRECKED. An experienced Huntsman got wiped out trying to save him. Others will be in danger too.
Ozpin asked. And begged. And when Oscar said no, well... Ozpin didn't have a choice. It's not just his life at stake- it's Oscar's, and Qrow's, and the students'. He let Oscar fight, he stayed back, but he's not going to let Oscar run out and get maimed or worse because he wants to prove himself. He's only been training for a month! HE'S NOT READY.
(Let's not forget that Ozpin was scared too- you could hear it in his voice. That he is a voice and a power with no body and no control unless given it- or taking it and risking ruining the fragile trust he's built up.)
So hate on Ozpin if you have to, but acknowledge that he gave Oscar a choice, and that what he did, he did to protect Oscar.

So, in conclusion, no Jaune hate (CANON Jaune, that is. The abomination certain parts of the fandom have created, on the other hand...), AND no being insensitive when people have concerns about a certain scene in The Final Word. Even if it SEEMS irrational, and it might be, do TRY to understand where they’re coming from. Okay? Okay. Good. Just be respectful. Different perspectives on that scene will inevitablly happen, and while I feel the blame has been unfairly shifted regarding a couple of characters, concerns regarding that scene are still completely justified
