After more than a week without having seen a living soul, Carmen knew she must have turned insane. She had seen someone. Heard their footsteps. Forward, decisive, unlike the ones she had run from before. No undead walked like that and still she had searched for the closest room to hide in and hoped, whatever it was, wouldn’t find her.

Was it that chained thing she had seen outside the window? Or survivors of the security?
