one of the things that really surprised me coming onto here and ao3 is that kat and the protagonist’s friendship is so underrated? i loved their dynamic so much and if only there were more au type of fics for this fandom i just know they’d be the best duo...they seem to understand each other without saying too much to each other and they definitely care a lot, we know the protagonist is generally willing to do whatever it takes to keep anyone safe from harm but i think kat being at the other end of this could definitely mean them becoming better friends! and of course there’s the wlw mlm solidarity because kat is definitely sapphic in some form....
as much as i like protagoneil i also like kat/protagonist a lot. he has been shown to be a simp for her and not without good reasons:
the whole movie is abt him wanting to bring her happiness because he pitied her as an abused victim and also bc he felt guilty for using her for his own purposes (1. using her as a means to get close to sator to her detriments 2. giving her a gun but telling her not to shoot so that it riles sator up = helps increase his heartbeat rate) and him dragging her into the entire mess in the first place.
also per my personal taste, aesthetically they are cute af. i love that kat with high heels is like a whole foot taller than him. they give me princess-knight romance vibes and im loving it.
