The library is having its annual staff art show next month, and as with last year I had an “oh shit, I need to make something for that, I have nothing to show for the past year but fanart” moment. Not that there’s anything wrong with fanart, it’s just that most of the fanart I have is either small (aka obnoxious to frame) shippy (possibly getting into “not appropriate for display” territory) digital (prints? What are those) or some combination of the three.

Anyway, I did some watercolors and hahaha they turned out to be fanart anyway. At least it’s unlikely anyone will pick up on it. Image posts coming soon (I just didn’t feel like rambling about all this in the art posts).

Also fun story, I got stuff to frame them today, but 1) I didn’t get frames with enough depth for a mat so I had to use pliers to get the frame back attached again, and 2) I FORGOT TO FUCKING SCAN THEM FIRST so after all that work I had to TAKE THEM OUT AND PUT THEM BACK IN AGAIN. To say that I’m tired is an understatement.

i hope my mom realizes that at any point when i visit next weekend we're sitting on the couch and she says to put whatever on it's going to be one piece. she will be confused and i will get to infodump. it'll be great.

#plus my dad feels well enough that we're seeing TWO performances at a local shakespeare festival #coriolanus AND romeo & juliet (which my mom will have to actively stop herself from mouthing along to)#so it's gonna be a good weekend #god my relationship with my parents is either really fun (see above)#or exhausting #we're not good at in betweens #personal

not to name any names or something, just venting rn. BUT. If the therapist you're seeing isn't a good match, find a different one really does sound easier than it is. please acknowledge that before telling affected people to just find another one. i'm tired.
