Z-O-M-B-I-E-S : MLP AU
A random mlp AU I thought up of sometime earlier this year - I never got around to finishing all the doodles, but maybe I will when I get the interest to pick this up again. The AU is basically the canon story, with a few tweaks to fit the MLP universe or just my personal ideas of changes the original movie could have had.
My little pony au cause... I haven't done it before and felt I should, plus MLP is a show that also tackles species racism at some point, so this franchise was easy to translate into that universe haha.
Earth ponies and pegasi are the 'humans' of Seabrook.
Zombies are griffins (griffins are not ponies, but quite pony shaped, so it felt most fitting).
Dragons are werewolves (cause they're fierce).
Aliens are changelings (buglike worked best for the aliens).
Unicorns are witches/wizards.
Vampire ponies are vampires, while Kirin are the daywalkers.
ABOUT THE CHARACTERS:
ADDISON
A hybrid of an Earth pony (father) and Pegasus/Changeling (mother) - Her mother still retained her shifting abilities, so she seamlessly blends in as a pegasus. Addison on the other hand is only 1/4 changeling, so she did not retain any abilities but did features - Her iris is bigger (and lacks a pupil, tho she is not blind). Her natural hair is more translucent. She also has weird "bug-like" wing feathers. She also lacks a cutiemark. She keeps her secret by wearing a wig/skirt, and saying due to being half earth pony her wings did not develop well enough to fly (she initially doesn't know how to fly as she never trained to, but ends up getting tips by Zed after the reveal of the first film). The dragons think she could be their leader/chosen one, not because of her appearance - rather their legend of a non-pony creature with a gemstone in their chest would someday save them - something like that, as dragons in this AU all have a gemstone on their chests like the changelings do. When the changelings come to Seabrook, and Addison starts feeling a pull towards them, this is when we find out her mother is a hybrid. Due to being disconnected from the changelings when she gets linked to their power source, she is briefly too overpowered (making her hair blue and eyes fully blue) [still a big wip concept] - she ends up finding a balance by the end of the film and reverts to her true hybrid form. By the 4th film, she has a bit more changelings features, since she was now connected to their source of power (as well as getting older).
ZED
Zed is a griffin from "griffin"-town. Griffins used to be ponies some point in time, but got altered into a more bird/lion form due to magic and shunned. Zed lives with his father and little sister Zoey, and hangs out with best friends Eliza and Bonzo (all griffins). His goals are pretty much the same as the movies, and he's the lovable boyfriend to Addison as he always was.
BREE
Bree is a pegasus cause she "wanted to fly" in the movie xD
BUCKY
Bucky is just an earth pony
